Honda has now come up with this complete shocker. What is it's excuse for the crazy pricing? For a fact the Jazz 1.2 won't have a sun/moon roof, alloys, fog lamps, ACC. Does someone still believe it will sell at 8+ L?

There is hardly any resemblence according to me. Propotions are simillar, which is very common, but the detailing is very different.

i am eagerly awaiting the first owner reviews of this 8L + Jazz on tbhp. Will be fun to read about how someone justifies spending so much on the jazz. Heard its called a student's car in europe and aussie and is in no way a luxury hatch - now that we know the features, it is truly not luxury, although it is questionable which student will buy it in India

Romeo, there is absolutely no resemblance between the two other than the fact that both have doors, tail lamps and wheels.

The Jazz looks like a shrunk Innova to me. Doesn't mean that Honda 'copied' Toyota.

agreed but it has to be a really dumb student to buy the honda jazz i mean for the same amount there are much better things to be had - like the ford fiesta 1.6 sport which now costs less than honda jazz on road - offers much more or maybe the cedia sport!

Not sure too many students are buying the Jazz. According to this report, the average age of a Jazz buyer is 63! Honda Jazz - Find facts on Auto Trader World of Cars

"The average age of the Jazz buyer is 63. Honda has found that older buyers choose the Jazz because it is so easy to drive as well as very simple to get in and out of thanks to its high roof and upright seating"

well that and the un-informed elderly don't normally know what are the modern features to look for - they still look for their premier padmini fan (not climate control)

Hmm! Even I feel that the price is slightly on the higher side. Dont feel that so many Indians would buy a small car at that price. But then again, not all Indians think like me so maybe this car can still do wonders. Lets see how things shape up..

hehehe very nice.

At those price levels, People should buy an Innova which looks in a way similar and has a better space/quality/equipment etc. what am I comparing BTW.

We Indians like magic from the old days and hope the Magic spell of Honda continues on the proud Honda owners while we are awed by it .

Good job romeomidhun & aseem, you defintely know ur cars.
yup, there is definately a strong resemblence in the waistline, the wheel arcs, the side window design and the A-B pillars. anyone (including me, i hope) can change the tail lamp and tail gate design. Guess the koreans are cutting costs and instead of spending money on expensive CAD-CAM software, they simply buy adobe photoshop and corel draw .

the resemblance of the mazda to the i-20 is fairly striking. Hyundai started off with a wagonR replica called atos (a.k.a santro) and they have simply carried forward since then. Reverse engineering Rules !! BIGTIME !!
