Latest issue of Car India says the Jazz is going to be priced between 5.5 lakhs to 6.5 lakhs. It also suggests that there are going to be more then one variants. Report did not look to be accurate to me.

None of the reports mention whether the automatic version of Jazz is getting released and if so when. Any idea /thoughts on the AT version?

Their web-site shows 6 days to go at this moment, i think they will launch it with great fanfare, not imprompto.

Only one version will be launched, 1198cc Manual. AT to be decided later.

I think what Honda is planning here is to see how many cars it can sell at this price. If it doesnt work out well, Honda will get another "V" variant with all the bells and whistles at the same price and then reduce the price of this S variant to a saner level. I really doubt how much this is going to happen though, since Honda cars have a history of doing well in spite of being over-priced.

I saw the car today. the storage space behind the rear seat is huge.
more or less it looks similar to Palio weekend from behind.

boot space will not be a limitation for sure

Confirmation of prices ? If they are booking they better comeup with OTR price and specifications as declared by manufacturer.

Without even seeing the car, leave alone TD the car. How much more attitude can Honda show.

Still people will book it without seeing the car.

They did the same when the new Accord was launched. They began bookings a few weeks/months in advance with no indication of price or even engine.

A bit OT - The Jazz looks blissfully ugly to me. Much like the NHC (no offense meant to NHC owners). Again, is this a hatch? Looks more like a MPV to me.

It's not the boot space, it's the boot! which is a status symbol in any 5-6+ lakh rupee car.

Yes, I too feel that it's ugly looking, something like a non ZX NHC. I've seen this car in UK, probably the same model, it had a very mediocre road presence, worse than the NHC.

The Jazz is looking ugly to me too. After seeing Grande Punto India pics in other forum, jazz looks outright bad. Kind of Innova'ish looks. Stretched to the core, as usual weight would be less and 1.2 would be enough for it but 8 lakhs for this car, spend 1 more and get a ANHC

Still its a Honda and it will manage respectable numbers or will the Indian consumers surprise honda this time, very less chance for sure

this car will sell more than Punto for sure and the reason is Honda's brand image. thankfully these companies are coming up with small cars, which makes me think that lots of action is to come up in the future in this segment.
