Is the 3.99 Lacs Getz petrol GVS a 1.3 L or 1.1 L? If it is 1.3 L then 1.1 L will be even cheaper isn't it and be on par with Santro. I just dont get it

That is correct! If you go to the Hyundai website and click on Getz it will show up eventually

In Goa, I obtained a written quote from Alcon Hyundai for 4.99 lakh ex-showroom, comes to about 5.45 on the road, for the Getz CRDI. When I inquired whether the model was being phased out, salesman replied that it was a price cut, to promote sales of this model which were not as expected, and that it would continue to be produced.

I checked with Advaith Hyundai in Bangalore today, the Getz CRDI is available at 5.88 L on road which is a cut or around 60K that is a huge cut!

It makes great sense now to buy this car instead of the VDI or the QJD.
Damn! I wish this offer was there when I was looking out for a car 6 months ago.

But isn't this Huge price cut unfair for people who bought the car in the last 6 months?

Hi Guys,

I had booked the Getz CRDi last month and is almost due for delivery. Its just that my loan processing took more time than usual.

I am at a situation where the car is already in the company stockyard at Bhiwandi, Thane and the showroom is pretty much waiting for me to turn in the money to proceed further.

There is almost a 50k price cut as OTR Mumbai is now coming to 5.82 Lacs. I have highlighted this to the dealer (A1 Hyundai, Andheri East) and told
him that this benefit must be passed on.

But the dealer had his own cribs saying that he has already paid for the vehicle and the company won't reimburse him etc...

The question I have

The dealer is yet to revert to me, in the interim does it make sense to approach HMIL directly and request them that they pass it on ???

How else can I swing this ? Help guys

The Invoice also has a clause that 2% of the order value will be charged if the booking is canceled due to any reason whatsoever.

AFAIK: A buyer can refuse any car till its actually registered in his/her name.
The dealer has to return any advance money without any deductions.

Most times the dealers get to pocket the difference if the price goes up.
And yes he will crib about the difference.

Its at moments like this that listening to your favourite song inside your head helps.
And you be deaf.

I see this as Hyundai's last attempt to sell this car in hurry because after the launch of GP, the diesel hatch market will see more competition. Knowing hyundai, i20 will be way more costlier with crdi heart.

So the most the dealer can charge you is Rs. 12,000 (2% of Rs. 6,00,000). I would tell him that you will cancel and buy from another dealer if he does not give you the lower price.

The NO exchange/loyalty bonus is not true Arjuna. My sister had visited Talwar Hyundai a week back and they did mention about 10k or so as loyalty discount factor on her existing accent(petrol). This is apart from valuation of the car at 2.30lac - this whilst negotiating for the CRDi

@phoneix

Even I'm contemplating buying getz crdi, the offer is too tempting to resist..But still my heart wants to wait till GP launch since this offer is intact till June23rd.Yes,GP would be way underpowered when compared with Getz Crdi, but the feeling of driving a previous generation car might irk later on. A Hip Hop red crdi with 5-spoke black alloys and implanted sun screen would look a killer and contemporary, but have decided to wait..Btw,got a quote of 5.6L from HMP,Chennai..
Let me know whether you have booked one..

Alcon Hyundai has the following:

Ex-showroom - 4.99 L
Life Tax - 25315
Insurance - 14503

On-road - 5,38,818

No freebies. They also refused to give exchange/loyalty on my existing Getz petrol.
