superon, its in gurgaon.
it was a white one (looked great), whose speedo was stuck at 51 kms.
called up deep hyundai in delhi and asked for a test drive. he said "oh sure, we have two white ones standing, test drive wont be a problem".

the Getz diesel has officially been repositioned and priced, at Rs. 4,99,900 in Delhi also, according to the latest price list.

Mods, kindly change the thread title to "getz CRDi now available at Rs. 4.99 lakhs.

at this price, I will definitely buy one soon.

Here is the break up from my proforma. Note that I am getting through a company lease.

Vehicle cost: 4,44,355
Vat (12.5%): 55,545
Registration & Life Tax: 48,500
Insurance (ICICI - Orix): 13,566
Total: 5,61,966

Delivery would take a max of 8 working days.

@sidindica - is the car being stripped of any features as a part of the repositioning?

The car has come down by about 70k since last year, and the 4.99L offer is a kewl 43k (or so) from the listed ex-showroom price. I wonder if Hyundai is making the engine in India (heard it is from Korea?), or if they are cutting costs by stripping some features, or if they were earning bumper profits on the few cars they sold till now, and now cutting their profits

No this is not a fair deal. Maruti true value offered 4.3 lacs for a 2 yr swift done 22000km (my car). suggest sell it to maruti, and then go buy your getz on this end.

Tyres are not tubeless. You will have to upsize to tame this beast. No alloy wheels also. Someone mentioned the OTR in Bengaluru is about 5.87 lacs.

No extra safety features like ABS or airbags.

I think the dealer is overcharging you. OTR Pune (PMC) should be approximately Rs. 5,60,000 or so based on the ex-showroom price. Seems like he is quoting the old price.

true, he is quoting the old price with discount scheme (free insurance and loyalty bonus). now, when the getz is priced at 499,000 there is no scheme (free insurance, and loyalty bonus) offered on it.

Alright, I have set the ball rolling - submitted the required documents and cheques to avail the leased car plan from my organization. Hopefully I should have the car before 3rd week...

Am getting the car from KUN Hyundai btw, primarily coz they have a service center in my area. Who else with me?!! None other BHPian from Madras grabbing the rocket ride while it lasts???

Totally taken unawares

Was looking for a sedan today and was going in an out of many showrooms when I chanced about the offer price for the Getz CRDI. The onroad price for the car in Cochin is 5,48,430.

At this price there are many that are going to think before purchasing another car especially those who care two hoots for pretensions. In a straight line with a rolling start I doubt there is any hatchback in India baring the OctaviaRS and the Laura that can outrace the Getz CRDI. If only the Punto had come with the 1.6mjd vgt engine.

The price differential for the Skoda hatches make the Getz seem mouth watering.
