Can anyone shed light on which of so many listed features on Laura website does the 1.8TSI Ambient will have?

surprised to see maharashtra exshowroom prices lower than delhi exshowroom. Though while coming to onroad pricing I guess Delhi will be cheaper.

I am actually surprised at the low key launch. No ads in Bangalore papers (not checked the ToI though), not seen any major Press Release (BS just had a photograph) and no online ads!

In comparison Superb had much higher coverage including heavy online ads, association with fashion shows; Guess the PM with a Superb among others.

Running out of ad budget with poor showing in Q1 could be a reason.

Separately is the 2.0 TDI PD what the old Superb used to have?

Cheeers,

I think 2.0 TDI PD is the same diesel engine of the current Superb which produces 140bhp.

The old superb diesel was a V6 engine which was around 163 bhp.

I guess, the 2 new engines are shared with Superb. It would be interesting to see how do these 2 engine configurations bring about the competition in Laura and Superb.

Has any one checked Skoda Laura website, the car displayed on the home page is LH Drive , I suppose this so called premium car company should have premium media group

Well anyways, the new Laura is a Great Desirable product at Great price added with Heck of a A.S.S.

The launch at Grand Hyaat

I was invited for the grand launch of the facelifted Laura at the grand hyatt's,grand ball room.Lots of pretty chicks and loadsa free black label and khaana. The rear vents are not on the b pillar it lies beneath the center console on the rear. The car is quite compact and apt for city driving. The car is amazing. Its got the same touch screen mp3 player which is there in my new superb. The cockpit has got nice wood in it.All plastic panels inside ;no chrome, three engines. The hatch opens in one stage(unlike the superb) like the previous octavia.I am expecting the pricing in a couple of hours(It is not out officially),Have scheduled atest drive in a couple of days.A couple of pics till then.(sorry for the pics quality i cilcked it with my blackberry)

New Laura looks really great.

IMO diesel pricing are on higher side.

And yes Petrol is a great competitor of Civic & Altis, if they improve their *** (unlikely in near future)

In diesel, Laura is the king in its price range, no competition at all. Will definitely sell in good numbers. (probably this is the reason, why skoda is looting Indian customers in *** - no competition)

Any ways, hope for the best.

Was reading the Zig Wheels report on the Skoda launch.
It says "The new car offers a robust dynamic exterior". D'uh.
Is that a result of one a two many pegs of free Black Label.

Dude have you read what is written on their website??

Its words that even the product manager would not understand
assertrive front exterior, subtle aggression....

how can aggresion be subtle. Can it be 'i am going to kill you with a gun, but i shall pull the trigger very very softly'

Anwaysy the cars a rockstar. Imagine 160 bhp on that one...

cheers,
ac
