Swift to become Dearer

Maruti has decided to increase the prices of Swift from 9th june onwards.prices will be increased in the range of 8-10K.just saw it on NDTV 24X7.

so now it loks like the introductory offer is over and there is some price correction going on.still with the price increase it will be a good deal just a little bit salty.

This is too early price revision. Lucky to escape from this. Potential buyers who want to test the onroad performance needs to pay this extra bucks

Price hike is Rs. 8000 on Lxi and will go upto 10000 on Zxi. Maruti loves limited versions like its limited version cars like the Pride and the Limited Esteem..

THis introductory price gimmick is all crap..

Never expected this from a carmaker of Maruti's stature.

Cheap way of increasing booking for 2days before Jun 9th and asking people -who want to see the car on road before purchasing it- to pay a premium , is not right. This when the MD had said that "introductory price will remain for a reasonable amount of time"

I bet there'll be a lot of hedging..and trading of bookings and cars ...

but if u see 8-10K is not much really for a person already spending above 4 lacs.it wont affect the sales too much i guess or will it?
but i really feel that maruti should have atleast kept the introductory price for a month.10 days is just poor stats.

or is it that the swift was so overbooked that they are overconfident of its sucess after the price hike?

If Swift does not have any close competition in its segment, this wont affect much or I guess it will happen.

If Hyundai drops the Getz prices officially by 30K then swift will have competition. At same price Getz scores by way of fit and finish, looks though looses out by 7hp in the engine dept.
