The Vista is 3795mm long. For a CS version, (to have excise benefits), the length should be less than 4000mm. It is possible, but all you have is 204mm to play with!

which i dont think tata would do, add a boot for 204MM, or might they give multijet engine in current CS itself by nexy year or so??

Good catch, looks like the Indigo but why is it sporting MH-14 number plates? If it's Tata, it should be MH-12.

MH -14 is Pimpri-Chinchwad, where Tata Motors is located. Isn't it?

designing a sedan is no easy job especially when you have the hatchback in the market. it can go akward easily very fast!!. i think fiat with its italian designers and tata should work together to bring out very good products.

the vista looks great as a hatch. the front is good the only thing bothering me is its bubbly shape. its not at all sporty!! i hope when they design the indigo they don't keep the wheelbase of the indica vista. strech it out a little give a proper coupe like shape. give a proper boot for god sake!! i am not talking about the space inside. i mean the shape should be proportionate!! like the linea!!! learn from fiat or let them do it man!!

i just hope its better than the DZIRE!!!.

Yes - your are right! All TATA vehicles should have MH14 as TC passing.

And, by the way, I had promised amitv8 to keep an eye open for clicking the truck on test.

So today evening, went outside Pune - towards Bangalore - hoping that the indigo and tata truck would be returning after another trail.

I was right - but unfortunately this time the car was on the other side of the road, (could only make out that it was colour red as opposed to colour silver the other day) and could not get any pictures.

And a different truck on test - with a lesser pair of wheels at the rear. Didn't feel like chasing him - what with wife and daughter thinking that dad has become loony!!

But I did catch something - refer to VW Polo thread!!

PS - From the picutres, I appears that the windshield has been wiped by only a single wiper. Am I right?

No there are two wipers for the windshield.Hope Tata won't do a "Dzire" to the indigo vista's boot.

If they can come out this car with good reliability it will be a sure winner.Tata is better than Maruthi in interior design.So we can hope the rear seat space and comfort to be much better than Swift Dzire.

Last night had a talk with the TATA guys, this car is ready for launch and will be launched in next 6-7 days.

Though I seriously hope that you (your sources) are right, I am afraid to say that its not evident (i.e. there are no indications) that its gonna happen.
If it were indeed, then the dealers (atleast a few from more than 100) would have already started getting their hands on demo and display vehicles.

Certainly not in next 6-7 days unless TATA want to do an unveiling before formal launch for obvious logistic reasons as has been mentioned above.

Diwali seems more logical to me...

All,
I spotted a disguised car on Pune banglore highway last week, could only manage 2 pics as it zoomed past me. Not sure which car is it, could be based on Vista going by the headlight.
How can I upload these shots?
