Price cut and a Face lift. Wasn't the new facelifted Logan about to hit Indian shores in May 2009. What happened to that?

Surprising to know that A star is not in the top 10 models.

Omni is the only affordable option to large families! Plus Florists, mobile Maggie vans, etc etc.

A-Star on the other hand is perceived to be over priced as compared to its rivals. Is is also facing stiff competition from I10 whose look alike it is. I am sure, it'll do well sooner or later. Remember the Alto too was failing once

Ritz selling more than 8K is impressive, to say the least! A-star seems to be a failure for Maruti.

It would be interesting to see the breakdown between the old Indica and the Vista out of the 10K + Indicas.

swift seems to be losing out steam - reasons attributed to similar cars in the same segment like Vista, Ritz, Punto, i10 and i20? moreover, long term ownership seems to be suspect, going by some of the reviews in this forum.

Much more than the Vista mate. Vista sales would be in vicinity of 3000- 4000 the rest being the Indica. You still cannot get more cubic inch of space/ rupee than the good old Indica. It is very popular in semi urban/ rural areas and with the cab operators.

Yes. It is still sold. However, I don't think all the variants are sold.

Yeah. Rephrasing my sentence. A star is overpriced than its competition!

And the likes of Mr. Pinto's.

Yeah. Novelty factor + sort of better looks and Indians love tall boys!

I wouldn't write off A-star as a failure for Maruti. They however, need to reposition the A star.

+1 to that. I still think its time that the Vista receives a facelift.

the new indica vista comes across as a well engineered, value for money product, with great space on the inside and very good ride quality.

i wonder how many people would come to a tata show-room to buy a punto and end up buying a vista
