I have found vicky.in to be very speculative and, more often than not, very incorrect about pricing and features. I would believe reports from sidgo7 and sidindica more.

I checked out the car last night. Quite liked the dash. What I really liked were the seats with the Punto logo. Overall I think it will sell well to start with. The rest depends on Tata/Fiat A.S.S.

That right there could be a massive deal-breaker for me, though I'm 5'9. So here's hoping for the best..

Can someone confirm this?

.

I wasn't expecting that. There were some references about palio being more roomy, but even swift? Pretty hard to digest.

I feel that in the Linea part of the reason for bad rear legroom is that seats are broader than in other cars. Is Punto the same?

I'm not sure if the above is just my perception or fact. Even when I sat in an Indica it seemed like the rear legroom was significantly more than the Linea!

I would be more keen to hear the first insights on the performance. Enough has been dissected about the looks and trims

Yes Indica has a more legroom as compared to Linea and much more compared to the Punto. I think the seats are a bit thinner and have lesser under thigh support. Further due to the taller C pillar and larger glass Indica Vista appears roomier

Have been assured by Fiat that the petrol would be a a scorcher... Well it remains to be seen.

All Tata cars are passenger delights. The comfort they offer is unmatched at that price levels.

People, Punto was always going to be shorter. Don't know about the Grande Punto but last October when I was in Switzerland, I drove a colleague's Punto (not Grande) and it was quite cramped at the rear. Less spacious than my Palio atleast.

gp's turning radius is 5.4 m.
for the swift and jazz it is is 4.9m, i20 is 5.2m.

isnt this going to be a little difficult to handle while tight parking?

I believe the Chennai launch is only on the 22nd! I really don't know why. A colleague who is interested got the Fiat marketing guys number from Concorde motors and he told him this.
