The plastics are the same as in the linea. no problems here. Inside the Punto, I did feel that space has been compromised by the huge dashboard and high seats. That's in comparison to my Palio GTX.

But, it was easy to get comfy as the seats are height adjustable just like in the Linea. But no vanity mirrors with light, no sunglass holder and the boot open lever is on the floor, next to the fuel cap lever. This is Emotion pack version here! I like the interior trim in grey and black as compared to the beige and black in my Linea though.

I think the alloys on the punto are really cool ! Have u seen them ? If u pick up the punto, I'll trade u my Linea wheels for them !

here's a pic of the wheel from the Indian Punto for the benefit of those who haven't seen it.

Fiat UK website lists the onroad price of the 5 door punto at an eye watering £11, 125 for the 1.4 dynamic.

How will Fiat be able to price it at the Rs5.5 - Rs 6.5 lakh mark (<£9k)? Ofcourse, there are the obvious ways of removing equipment (no side/curtain airbags in the Indian version), but still the difference is fairly hefty. Hope the quality doesn't suffer!

I feel this pricing fits the top-end Petrol and not the diesel. The E+ MJD should come around 6.4-6.5 ex-showroom Delhi. But hey, what do I know?

My guess is Fiat will price
GP Emotion = Swift diesel top-end (zdi ?)
And E-Pack will be some 30k more.

yes Neo that seems reasonable .It will be priced same as or very close to SWIFT , if they are targeting good sales figures. if the target number is not too high , then the petrol would be priced like the i20 and diesel even higher(which seems unlikely).

Its gotta be close to swift.Otherwise they would have offered VGT insead of FGT.

Wow! the specs and variants suggest a winner at Fiat's hands!
The 1.4 Dynamic if priced right can give a good competition to the Swift! Lets wait and watch!

Usually the pricing won't be finalized until the last moment. So i will not be surprised if there is no scoop on the pricing before the launch.

Dont go with the UK price as a benchmark, everything in the UK is heavily taxed and priced. For example a Prius in UK costs around 19,000 Pounds while in US the same is 22,000$.

OT: I saw an ad that Fiesta limited edition is 5.5L (mmmay be entry-level Exi model).
Dont you guys think thats juicy, considering that we are talking same price levels with i20/GP?

Thats exactly my point! I already saw the site long back- I am talking about the ad- if you would remember the tagline Admiration guaranteed for the Linea was not there on the teaser site.
