Very well priced. Waiting for a detailed review from experts. Seems lot of people are quite excited about the price and GP. Hope it does not fade out like it happened for Linea sales. Good luck FIAT!

If anyone is talking about any Honda car, by default it means it will have no such features like Automatic climate control, alloys etc still the price difference is quite big.
Lets see who is willing to shell out 2 lacs more for just H badge and a less good looking car than Punto.

I was just checking the pricing for the Indica Vista vis the Grande Punto.
The Indica Vista 1.3 Aura(top-end) is still priced below the Grande Punto 1.3 Active. The Vista retails at INR 473,124 while the Punto - Active starts at INR 4.85 lakhs. ( all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
So we can guess the strategy from this.

And, to think that i bought the Vista MJD just a few days ago!. I wanted to wait for the punto but i presumed that the pricing would be beyond my budget and i got a good deal on the Vista(20-20 offer, with a few freebies thrown in plus corp discount for good measure).

I should have probably waited......black and white look real killer colors.

Hello guys,

Am following this thread since last 2 days, and am absolutely amazed at the response. Even i am eagerly awaiting the launch of Punto. Lets hope Punto lives upto the hype generated.

I called up Fortune Motors (Mumbai, powai) and they said the launch is today evening and the car will be available for display / TD tomorrow

Anyone from Mumbai having updates from other dealers?

Punto is a slow mover, Well this is what Zigwheels says:

"As far as the 1.3 Multijet equipped car is concerned, the late and mild turbo kick-in couples with the spongy gear box meant that it managed a 0- 100km/h sprint in all of 17.57 seconds - that's not only way slower than the Swift, but also a good three seconds slower than the petrol Grande Punto."

Fiat GP can be a hotseller. Good name, good design and good pricing. It can really make a dent into the established hatch market provided they come out with good FE figures. Looks like the 1.4 FE is averaging around 9 kmpl. Hope this is not true!

Yes. True. But Honda is smarter then we think. Even if they sell 50 cars in a month they can claim that it's the segment leader .

Amit,

Yeah we forgot that it has created an alltogether different segment for itself.
Anyone got a TD yet for the Punto, am anxious.
