Skoda makes the fastest hatchbacks in the country...

The fastest hatchback sold in India is the Skoda Superb Hatchback with the V6 petrol engine. Period. The V6 petrol engine outputs 260bhp and 350nm of torque to all its 4 wheels.
Please note that Skoda only manufactures Hatchbacks in India and a made to order Estate version. They do not manufacture Sedans.
Skoda Superb

If you want a cheaper hatchback there is the Skoda Laura
Skoda Laura
Skoda Laura :: Technical Specifications ::
If you want a real fast diesel hatchback then there is nothing to beat the Laura 2.0tdi PD with 140bhp and 320Nm.
The GM Cruze may be a faster diesel when its launched here but then thats not a hatchback.

In my knowledge neither SKODA Superb nor Laura are hatchback they are sedans, even if we speak technically by design language its a NOTCHBACK and not a hatchback. The only hatchback Skoda India has is the Fabia.

Fellow BHPians please shed some light.

my 2 cents

FIAT can take out the Head Unit and speakers and reduce the Emotion tag by another 10-15K.
It would be good to have choices in Emotion - like Audio, Alloys, Steering controls and Blue&Me instead of one package E+ .

The blue color in India is a disgrace. Not the ones that are shown initially. Where's the New Orleans Blue or Rock & Roll Blue that shows on UK site ???

I had to choose from Red or Blue, it makes my choice easier now

my 2 cents

This thread has gone beyond what I expected. Its grown more than three times in a matter of hours and I had to almost give up reading all posts.

Way to go Fiat, you guys have done the unthinkable. Now lets get the service backup house in proper shape and we will take you to the largest manufacturer's league

Forget the 0-100 timing figures of the GP. If the 0-40 timing of pages in this thread is any indication then Fiat is well and truly in for a grand revival in India. They have already pulled up an ace trick as far as pricing is concerned. My only grumble is the 5.4 mtr turning radius of the car.

Secondly, after preparing for almost 6 months, Fiat should have been able to launch the car on the same day all over India. The Fiat dealers in Guwahati still don't know much about the launch here. Two demo cars are supposedly in transit.

I'm afraid the first few customers will have long waiting periods. This may in turn adversely affect Fiat because the general customer might feel, "we are here to give Fiat a chance but they are acting pricey".

Yes. Too big for a small car. It is 5.5m in linea. Thats a headache.
