Need some quick advice on price of used Accent

hi there,

A friend is planning to buy the following set of wheels in Mumbai.

Hyundai Accent GLS - March 2000
Kms - 57000
Color - Amazon Green
Accessories - Kenwood Stereo

The car appears to be well maintained having a complete service history and in good shape.

Any inputs on the price he should pay for it will be appreciated.

Since you live in Mumbai,
not more then 2.5L.
A second hand 2005 GVS model retails for 4.25L.

Thats way above.. Not more then 2Lacs IMHO.. since the car is basic GLS with 1.5SOHC engine without ABS and it was a base model in 2000.. plus 57K on the odo seems alot.. If car is well maintained max 2.2L but he ie over coating the price.. plus now all GLS have a 1.6DOHC engine with ABS and gas shocks as standard..

The model you looking at is todays GVS model which is retailing for 5.5L so dont pay that much..

2.0 to 2.3max should be the right price for it man ... its a 5 and a half year old car ...they had the 1.5l engine instead of the 1.6 L they have now .. 57 000 is alright for a car that old 11 000ks a year ..

but then it'll be good to drive for say 30 000 ks more ?

not more than 200 grand in any way.....and also make it clear with the broker( if there is one..) that his brokerage will be paid after ten days of using the car......if anything comes off...like a steering problem ( it came in of my friend' city 1.5 just after he bought it...)...his brokerage will not be paid...( this way..he will assure that the car is ok...)...and u can always pull it down to 190 grand or so...money saved is money earned

But why only the Accent in first place, when not the Baleno ???

All cars in the Accent segment are priced at around 1.70 to 2.25 for the 2000 models , the cheapest being Corsa(1.4 or 1.6) and Ikon 1.3 with the Accent and Baleno on the higher end.
Ikon 1.6 ZXI would be abt 200 k
These are approx Bombay prices

Again , why the Accent ??
