This new Cedia is actually not very new, as it was actually the old Lancer in Europe and North America. I guess Mitsubishi, like before is trying to sell the same older models for long periods of time, like it did with the Lancer. They refresh it every few years to make it look newer, but it is still the same old car underneath. This time, they decided to add leather and flashy India-spec Navi to boost sales. I would personally advise those considering this car not to go ahead, because they will soon be forced to launch the current Lancer into the Indian market, which is actually a great improvement over this old, ugly, and slow sedan.

Here you go:
MITSUBISHI NEW LANCER

The facelifted Cedia is nice, though a slightly lower price tag would have made it more attractive.
Other things on my Cedia wish-list:
- Get rid of those ugly stickers
- Bring back the smoked headlamps
- Plonk in a Mivec.

seems to be like ABS & EBD is discontinued for the new model & reduced the price.Even the sports also doesn't have this option.

I checked up with the local dealer. New model both sports and regular comes with ABS and EBD plus extra features.

Seriously, you haven't seen the EVO X? It's based on the new Lancer. See attachment.

Not true, the new models continue to have ABS+EBD. No features have been cut off. I just confirmed.

Lovely car, not much of a fan of the graphics (stickering) though. I only hope my son doesn't see one for years lest he put his foot down and ask me to change from my current set of wheels.

AN excellent policy as I mentioned on one of the threads for Chevrolet Aveo would be to beat the competition head on.

Mitsubishi should price the lancer 1.5 in comparison to The Honda Jazz and Skoda Fabia.
Cedia should be price in comparison to the Honda City and hyundai Verna.
This will make space for the new lancer to take corolla and Optra magnum head on.

A head on competition as I said before may not exactly set the sales charts on fire but will surely get the company some sales they badly need.

PS- Such a strategy needs some big marketing bucks to be spent.

The cedia I personally think is a better competitor to the new Honda city.
