Since the maruti SWIFT is out on the roads, there must be owners out there ( in TBHP and guests) who would like to share the following details of the car.

1) Date of booking, Date of delivery and where it has been booked.

2) Which model lxi, vxi, vxi-abs and zxi plus the color also.

3) What accessories did u go for and how much they cost you. Any free goodies offered by the dealer.

4) What was the price it finally came upto Onroad+ accessories
a) If u went for a loan how much loan, which bank, How much EMI + details

5) How the car is performing and any shortcomings you c and have noticed so far.

Guys pls give as much information as possible as it would help ppl who are expecting deliveries shortly and prospective customers also.

oh except for the first week bookings most of the deliveries have been postponed by 2 weeks due to black marketing and shortage of colour that has been booked if u book a red swift today then youll get it by diwali as quoted by a sales executive of sai service
so just imagine what the line is gonna be like also aupposedly bookings have reached 20,000 and no freebies will be available on the car

Got the swift delivered on 13th June 2005, Black color, Vxi with Non-ABS now clocked 250 kms. I had installed a double din JVC system that has got CD player, FM & Cassette player.

The speakers are Boshman ( not sure about the spelling) with 250 watts each on the front and 500 watts each for the rear. The vendor claimed this as German Make.

I had placed a wooden plank on the rear side and fitted the speakers on to it. Garware sun control film that is least dark in color & terminator security system. Wants to go in for leather seats later.

All the persons who had taken seat in my car has said the car has very comfortable leg room and looks really big ( may be they do not want to disappoint me by saying something negative)

I felt that air conditioning is not upto the mark. I personally feel that Fiat has better cooling system that Swift.

Even the persons who are not comfortable with the looks started to appreiciate the looks of the car after repeated seeing ( that includes me ;) )
