I'm happy with my Ikon's reliability also. The only reliability issue is with the known "hot air from AC" problem which I solved on taking the advice of fellow BHP'ians and removing the valve. Never had a problem after that!
No major service hassles either, except that it is too expensive.

Being a Ford Fiesta customer for almost 3 years - i haven't faced any issues with their service. I do my car service @ Metro Ford, Bangalore. Nice care and prompt service...

TO be honest I never knew so many FORD owners who were completely satisfied existed on t-bhp.

All I had read until now was high service costs and service issues. Not that I believed them though.

@ devarshi84: Make no mistake, service costs are indeed high. But the quality of work is good (so far at least, fingers-crossed).

I have owned a Ford for the last 5 years, first the Ikon Flair and now the 1.6. Except for the AC heater control valve issue in both my cars, I am yet to come across any other major problem.

The service levels have improved over the years and the price of regular parts that need replacement during servicing has decreased.

Overall the experiance has been very satisfactory with Ford.

Does this also reflect on the resale?

Guys
I owned a ford fiesta duratorq zxi abs for the last 3 years and covered almost 90000 kms which I sold in May,2009.I must say that I was completely satisfied with the vehicle (miss it a lot too) and the service provided by the local ford dealer.Though sometimes some parts were not readily available and the extended warranty really helps a lot.

We own a fiesta TDCi, done 50Kkm, and are completely satisfied. It has been a long time since we have seen such a durable car in our house.
Before the fiesta we had a couple of Ikons as well, which too were extremely durable and rock solid!

I have had bad service and delays several times. Sometimes they will not be able to identify issues. But this is all in Chennai in the service centres that I am regular to. But whenever there was a huge issue that had to be escalated Ford India was helpful.

They responded to emails, called up, picked up phones and made things move forward and attempted heavily to resolve issues. Though I wouldn't say 100% from heart for the competence and skills of the service advisors and the mechanics and also the management of these service centres. It helped to build personal rapport and get things done.

To put it other way except for one major issue with the work on my car in 2006 when I really wanted to sell off the car never there was a time again when I wanted to part with the car. I feel good when am inside and driving it.

I wish ford upgrades fiesta, brings in better diesels and brings cars in higher segments. When I want to upgrade I would like to consider a Ford but simply there isn't a ford above Fiesta in the Indian market (forget Endeavour)
