Unless a customer is lucky to have a good service manager at their dealer, we know how bad Skoda service can be based on the many reports on this site. We also know how bad Skoda India's attitude is towards its customers.

I do not recall seeing many reports on Teambhp complaining about VW service or VW India's attitude.

But I am starting to see a pattern for customers experiencing very long waiting periods for Audi A4 spare parts. Have a look at the following two posts/threads:

How many Teambhp Audi owners are experiencing four month waiting periods for spares? What kind of spares? Are the required spare parts critical enough that the cars cannot be driven for about four months!? What reasons are Audi dealers giving for the long waiting periods? Are these spare parts stored inside or outside India?

Also, is it because of the long waiting periods for parts that Audi is offering a flat 30% discount on the A4 in Bombay? Is this offer only in Mumbai or is it valid in other parts of India?

GTO said we should wait for 20-25 owners to submit their surveys before praising or condemning the A4. So how many do we have so far?

Also, I looked at the Teambhp ownership review summaries for all the Audi models listed and they all report long waiting periods for spare parts.

In contrast, does anyone know what the parts wait periods are for Benz, BMW, VW, Volvo, Bentley, and Porsche?

30% flat discount on the car? :Shockked:

30% on the price - seems very unlikely . is it really true , can we have some confirmation

I recently booked the A4 2.0 TFSI and am awaiting delivery. I went through some pretty hard negotiations with them and dont believe that they are offering a 30% discount, however, any clarifications on this are welcome.

I too went to the showroom recently, and the whole time he was talking about how the cars there didnt typically come with any discounts.
Are you sure it is the A4? The A4 is the best selling Audi in India.
When I spoke to him, he mentioned a discount on the old shape A6.

Spare parts seems like a concern. Hopefully this will improve soon.

30 % !!! Unlikely.

I'd surely be interested - 30 lac car for 21 lacs !!

I have seen adverts saying 0% Interest rate if you take a loan and Half Ins free. Not 30 % !!

That 30% was my post.
A friend wanted to buy the Audi a few months ago. One of my patient's worked at Audi and he passed on his 30% discount.
After i put up that post, i have received quite a few PMs regarding the same. He is now gone abroad for training and once he is back, i can give more details.
Ofcourse, his discount is gone after my friend utilized it, but i'm sure he can use his colleagues help for it.
Will keep this thread updated.

And yes, this same friend's audi has had his climate control for the passenger side malfunctioning since day 7 and still not fixed due to lack of spares.

I think I understand now. It was an employee discount that was transferred to a non-employee buyer.

Here's an example of a Honda USA 20% off MSRP (Maximum Suggested Retail Price) employee discount:
AcuraZine Community - View Single Post - Anyone know what the Honda employee discount is?

The 0% is applicable to the 3.2 petrol only, for the other A4's they are offering a flat 7.7% interest rate provided you borrow no more than 20 lacs.

Anyone know of such Great Discounts on some other makes of car ?

Even Audi would be nice. :)

Please PM me too with the details. :)

Thank You.

In India, everyone just wants to sell and carry the money to the bank.:Frustrati

+1 to that.

Even though I have driven a few European Marques, I sometimes feel that there is a general apathy from the Europeans towards the Indian Car buyer. May be Indian companies should buy out all those going bankrupt and treat their traditional markets as dirt. I know businesses are not run like that but its the heart talking.

Cheers

if this is true i'll surely be adding an audi A4 to my garage soon.
