Ignis Petrol will be priced near to Diesel QJD. Then I have a question why would I buy Vista 1.4 Petrol. Vista is not having racing DNA and it is Family hatchback so I see nobody will endup buying it.

The Vista with wider tyres, larger aloys, firmer suspension - which is all very doable could actually be very good with the 1.4 engine, racing DNA can be induced with a few tweaks.

Sid, will it be just a Engine transplant or they gonna add anything extra, like making it the Vista Sports?

absolutely no idea, but a launch is confirmed for sure. It will most probably be in aura ABS/aura plus trim levels.

Now Vista 90BHP

Tata Motors is all set to launch the 90bhp version of Indica Vista Quadrajet on the 13th of October.
The new Indica Vista 90bhp varient would come equipped with the same 1.3 liter Quadrajet engine that does duty in the Punto 90bhp.

That sounds good. Good to hear that some manufacturers are making more powerful cars in the hatch segment, while others are moving to smaller mill versions.
What all goes in releasing a more powerful version of a car? Do they just re-tune the engine (newer mapping?) or also do extra stuff like firming up the suspension, stronger brakes etc?
+1 for 90bhp swift!

This isn't really going to fire up emotions. Unless they inject life in the steering of the Vista.

OT, but I wonder why Maruti didnt get access to the 90 BHP - their SX4 would have sold like hot cakes ?

But for a car that big, wouldn't 90BHP be a tad underpowered?

Could this be the reason: Autocar India Forum: FIAT might halt DIESEL engines to MARUTI

Good news! The Vista deserves that engine.
