Yea! removal of steering mounted audio controls is a totally bad step!

Its like completely converting it into to a driver's car from a enthusiast one! :(

The Linea Multijet or the Altis is definitely a better buy.But considering its a Honda, the new City might actualy get a good enough response. But IMO its not worth it.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a full rotary shaped AC blower speed knob ---doesn't the existing ANHC have this already? AFAIK the only sore point in the existing model is the horizontal lever for fresh air/ recirculate mode.

The first pic is of the current model, the second pic is of the upgraded knob.

The knob for the blower speed-0,1,2,3,4 is new.

Yes I absolutely agree. I don't know what I would do without a full rotary shaped AC blower speed knob.

So will this be the New All New Honda City or the NANHC.

Yup. The car will become perfect now. I can imagine Honda sales guys saying "Sir.. now the AC will work better".

Success has gone into Honda's head.

When did the Civic ever have one for it to be removed.

The explanation given was that most of the Civic owners tend to be back seat passengers rather than driving it themselves.

Honda will continue to sell at premium (read: fleece customers) until Toyota pulls it socks and starts introducing their full line up.

Everyone was sceptical about the Jazz and it seems to be a success inspite of the huge premium.

When it comes to Honda teambhp is not reflective of the market so Honda can afford to ignore the overpricing/bad value cries here. City is doing well as is Jazz.

Untill the market doesn't respond appropriately Honda India will continue to push their luck. If they can make their numbers inspite of the 50-80k it is logical they would take the premium.

For other car makers there is a gap, an opportunity but few have demonstrated any urgency to address it. We need cars like the Forte, Mazda 3, to an extent Vios to take on the City. Even the Linea with more power and better interior space management would be formidable.

Cruise control is provided only on models with Automatic transmission and yes Altis has it. Altis also comes with a Wireless Remote Control and steering based audio controls for its music system as against the fixed back seat controls in Civic.

Simply awsome, mind blowing, must have been designed by a pool of all leading design houses in the world.

One White knob in between two black knobs and that too of a different type makes an awsome design feature. Honda must highlight this thing in its brochures. Indians should be grateful for such class leading innovative ideas from Honda.

(The other 2 black knobs will be replaced with white ones in 2011 model on public demand.)

How stupid do they think customers are? reminds me of the Amby Mk.II, III, and IV where you may have needed a microscope to figure out the changes. Or even better the FIAT 1100D, Premier President, Padmini where even that may not have helped!!!
