Also, how about rear disc brakes - VTeC had them, and Climate Control - even the Swift ZXi has it. No big deal but probably requires some confederation.

Tomorrow is the new civic launch. By the time I am out of these launches, the prices etc are already updated on tv channels and the official sites launched for BHPians to know from me. Guess I eat a lot at these lunches .

Anyway, launch photos would be there tomorrow afternoon.

Better plastic trim, minor dial modifications on console
Fog-lamps
Retractable Mirrors - possible

Possible 1 new color will be launched.
Price rise is around 60K for Pune (+/- 15 K).

Will be released from the plant on the 21st Sept and deliveries start 1st Oct on-wards.
60K increase for such minor changes for an already overpriced car.
Honda is digging a hole for its own grave by overpricing.

@sid, thanx for the clicks; was waiting for it. Whats new in the third pic of the dash ?

I see DISC + and DISC -, so it retains the CD changer. Front looks surely more masculine now; but the rear looks dull to me. Alloys not very interesting IMO. BTW any info on the prices yet ?

Prices in Delhi is published on their website:

Civic 1.8S MT : Rs. 1,180,000
Civic 1.8V MT : Rs. 1,270,000
Civic 1.8V AT : Rs. 1,344,000

Not sure how different it is from older prices.

It still looks odd that they have created a new option just for India with a steering wheel having cruise control and no audio controls! I wonder how does this makes sense in our country!

Folks, I took a quick look at the spec and there is 1 additional feature (over sid's list) quite useful I think.

"Avg Fuel Consumption Indicator" on all variants!

I also see a mention of "Shift Lock" in AT; not sure if we had it earlier. I know that AT in S mode works with shift-up lock when in paddle-shift mode.

As far as I remember, VMT was for 12.35 lac ex-showroom on road earlier, so increase of 35 is not much.

Prices before the touch-up work were, 12.46 for the V-MT & 13.18 for the V-AT (ex.Delhi)

Current prices (ex-Delhi):

S-MT: Rs.1,180,000
V-MT: Rs.1,270,000
V-AT: Rs.1,344,000

Seem to have gone for a marginal increase (~25k) to make way for ANHC V-AT.

Except the rear tail lamp, nothing seems to be different from the old Civic.

What about the suspension and GC?

I think I'm going to see many new civics with scraped front bumpers going by the bumper design with the integrated skirt.

Not much interest in new civic here (not even one full page complete on launch day). Is it so or I am missing the main thread?
