The product is at the end of life cycle and the moment they exhaust their component contracts, I guess they will take it off the chartsalong with the Accent.

Congrats pb10gagan.
IMHO Getz has the best looks amongst all the hatchback herd , from the front, from the sides or from the back (WOW). And good accommodation too. A real 5-seater. Decent FE if you are not power crazy.
It would be sad if we miss this shapely car from the roads.
Hope Hyundai will have some senses to retain the shell and upgrade the power train (for the petrol) and the interiors.

Cheers.

Even I came to know from DSC and KUN Hyundai in Chennai that Getz Diesel has been discontinued. As other members have pointed out, even I feel that Getz diesel engine could have been used in i20 to give that killer instinct. Now to ride that engine I have no other option but to go for Verna after replacing my existing Santro Xing.

As far as getz being discontinued is concerned, the info from my last visit to hyundai dealer is that cRDI for sure is discontinued but 1.1 and 1.3 isn't. But some other dealers were saying that only 1.1 is on sale and 1.3 is also discontinued.

Its been quite a few months since getz crdi has been phased out actually. Luckily, I know atleast 4 friends who booked their Getz Crdi's in the last 1 week and getting their deliveries soon. I think there are a couple more available in Bangalore.

Hey mate, your sign tells us its a Getz CRDi GLS- is it? I mean, we didnt ever have anything but a GVS variant in CRDi- did Hyundai do something towards the end? If yes, what are the differences from GVS?

well, verymuch the D getz is discontinued, as for petrol ones, 1.1 is more sold compared to 1.3, so dealers usually keep few stocks of 1.1 and 1.3 are too available on confirm bookings.

Just checked with the dealer at Ahmedabad ( Concept Motors) and they say that the Crdi has been discontinued.

Also decided to check my local dealer (Goodluck Hyundai, Mehsana) and the lady at the counter informs me that the Crdi is available, must be one of the last ones i guess.

On road price quoted is 6.10 Lacs.

I think that was a typo. GVS was what he would have meant. There are no changes in the discounted version. Its the same old Crdi with same features.

how come the prices differ in mehsana and ahmedabad, i was told getz diesel at flat 5.40L with nothing else, no discounts, no freebies, nothing and you are saying 6.10/- so almost 70K price rose or what

I know for a fact that no freebies are offered. Ph03n!x got it for 5.45L in Chennai. I remember him saying that he got some discount from the dealer. He might be able to throw more light on this.

Just saw on ET. The Zen is also on its way out.

Maruti's iconic brand Zen set to drive into history- Automobiles-Auto-News By Industry-News-The Economic Times

We will all miss the jelly bean - i.e. the original. I have no regrets about the monstrosity Estilo wich in my view was a blot on the noble name.

Hi Vijay,

Reconfirmed the same with them. Here's the breakup :

Basic : 5,62,485
RTO : 31,747
Insu : 16,705
Total : 6,10,937

They have ready availability of stock. The price you got quoted could be of the time when the Rs.4.99 Lacs scheme was going on.

Hope that helps.
