Getz=RIP?

Has Hyundai stopped producing the getz?

Dealers here tell me that the vehicle is not in production anymore and any leftover stock will be cleared soon.

Makes sense to discontinue the Getz to promote the i20 sales. If the Getz is not setting the sales charts on fire that is. I wish they could use the engine in the Getz diesel though. Then that would make perfect sense.

Diesel was stopped some time back after stocks were cleared by the 4,99,000 offer.
Now it seems that all models have ceased production.

In the Indian market, customer indifference seems to be the only way for manufacturers to stop selling the older version alongwith the new. Inspite of being quite decent, it never managed to sell primarily because of Swift, which was launched within 7-8 mths of the Getz launch.

Any idea about the clearance discount on Getz.

Why isn't the Getz diesel engine in the i20? i20 with that power and the features it offers is a killer combination.

In Bangalore, I had heard about its discontinuation a month ago.

So its time to slot the i20 into the Getz' prices now ? Or expect some huge price cuts at least !?

No. Getz D is discontinued. Petrol 1.1 and 1.3 are very much on offer. Hyundai is being stubborn with he i20, had to book mine at no discount during festive season! Got some freebs.

From the time of its launch, Hyundai has given the Getz a setp mother treatment and not gien any room for improvment and given a deaf ear to any customer suggstion or feedback. Getz-D is a awsome car with the same verna engine but hyundai decided to kill the brand all together.

Hyundai has removed all details of Getz Crdi from their site. Dealers have also stopped booking crdi in Mumbai. However Petrol is still offered by dealers.

They have stopped the CRDi version of GETZ and now 1.3 petrol has only 2 versions instead of the initial 3 versions.

I think they would continue with the GETZ to fill in the gap between i10 and i20.

it is indeed sad that hyundai decided to discontinue getz .It is good VFM for the less spirited drivers . I just missed the crdi during promo period and envy all those new crdi on roads.

Just spoke to Hyundai Motor Plaza Mathura road in delhi. He said only the crdi version of the getz has been discontinued whereas the 1.1 & 1.3 versions are still readily available without any discounts except for a loyalty discount.
