Dunno why, but its looking more like a wagon / van now!
May be because it is (Or was) actually a Wagon (R) in disguise? I am quite keen to check it out on the roads.

Jab jab Maruti kisi car ke headlamps badalti hai, us car ki pragati hoti hai!

And the scoop man strikes again. So as promised, the Estillo gets a K-Series engine. Now if this sells more than A-Star, Maruti will feel like killing themselves!

Nice Scoop Sid , this product looks like a winner. Maruti seems to know its target customers pulse quite well.

Old Estilo had bad looks , average engine & poor gear shift quality.

They seems to have addressed all of them. I think intentionally they didn't plonk the 1.2 l engine as they wanted to differentiate it customer segment for those who want good FE with reasonable power, which the 1.0 L engine is.

1.2 L engine might have been a zippy choice but they don’t want to touch Ritz domain.

The Scoop King strikes again! Way to go Sid, can you sneak some brochures of the soon to be re-launched Civic and City also pls.

The new Estilo is 105 mm longer than the outgoing model, while the other dimensions remain the same. Power is up marginally and being an entirely new engine (& transmission?) setup, lets hope it is well received. Need to see Maruti's pricing on this model vis-a-vis the competition.

All this extra length is from the front over-hang, so no extra space will be available inside.

Moreover, this extra-lengthy front overhang may create problems when car is driven on 'dippy' roads or while coming out of a parking area / compound to a much lower-laid road.

Not sure about Getzy but definitely more WagonRish doesn't it, or is it just me?Anyway, the car sure does look more interesting than the previous one. Hope they come up with some smart pricing because after initial hype this too will sell only after discounts.

I think it is a change for the good. But was this change needed.
They already have so many cars, they could have dropped estillo and wagon-R and replaced with ritz and maybe a modified wagon-r.

This one is so cute, suddenly Suzuki seems to do all good in design area. My son of 5 years age calls present Estilo as Nano, always. Now this will be different.

Sid, the titles are getting as good as your scoops. Can't decide which is better.

I think this is a good strategy. The A-star and Estilo with the KB-10 3cyl engine and the Swift and Ritz with the KB-12 4cyl engine.

Just wondering which engine the WagonR and Alto will get next year.

Vid, I think Sid had mentioned that Alto will get the A star motor + a retuned 800cc mill.
