Still it will do much better than the outgoing model which is what Maruti wants right? A star is not doing as predicted by Maruti, so if they can use the same engine in another model , its much better for Maruti.

IMO, Estilo will hit Santro sales badly.
Very true Pricing looks quite aggressive and the product seems value for money with the new engine & transmission.

Definitely Hyundai i10 & Santro sales are going to take a beating especially as the festive season is near. It seems that Hyundai don’t have a new product in pipeline to take up this new challenger.

Quite disappointing to see that the rear seats are not 60:40 Split seat. At least the Vxi models should have been equipped with it.

Thank you for the scoop, even if I`m only looking at this thread post the launch!!

I think that the Estilo will do well with the 1.3 MJD (if the engine bay permits) and then it should be priced as the cheapest Maruti with the MJD. If not, then too bad, it`ll do a trifle better than the earlier one

MUL seems to have missed a trick by not giving any AT variant in their recent launches. An AT version in this Estilo could have snatched away sales from i10 AT.

OT, Sid, your title reminds me of Hindu's crosswords that i used to solve sitting at the back of my class in college!

When I checked on the website the new model is updated, however the price list still shows BSIII. Its really confusing since its hard to tell if it is a typo or the old prices still on the new model site.

Having said that, the pricing looks good especially for the top end model. Still not convinced on the engine, it might struggle against the proven engine of the Santro.

In the instrument console i see a Airbags and a ABS tell tale light.
Does this new Estilo have any of them .
If they do , this will be cheapest safe car IMHO

A-star is a newer and better package any day.

Also, any update on the KB engine for the Swift?

Just checked the car in Pratham Mortors ORR Bangalore and didn't feel impressive. Except the head lamps didn't notice any change. The TD vehicle is not available yet.

There are talks about a facelifted Santro this festive season. Will have to wait and watch.

Maruti Suzuki launches facelifted Zen Estilo

Maruti Suzuki has launched the revamped Zen Estilo with the following changes:(It may be noted that this is NOT the comprehensive list of the changes made in the car)
1.The car now gets K series engine (998 cc),producing 68 PS @6200
rpm, and 90 Nm torque @ 3500 rpm, which is BS IV compliant.
2.Exterior changes include new head lamps, grille, fog lamps ,
and bumpers.(The overall rear design hasnt changed though)
3.Driver side airbag,ABS,rear wiper with washer is available (VXi only)
4.Interiors get new instrument cluster along with digital fuel display.
5.The car is available in eight colours like superior white, dusky
brown,quantum orange,silky silver,ecru beige,emerald blue,bright red

It would be interesting to see how the car performances in all the departments, with these changes.

Just saw the AD in todays TOI - never knew this thread existed at T-BHP.

I think it looks so much better than the previous now.

I will stop at a MUL Showroom today sometime and get a TD Do not want to buy one BUT I am curious on how this one is.

It says there are Airbags - Is this in the 4 Lac OTR Model ????

The new Estilo looks definitely better than the old one and good pricing on Vxi with ABS and airbags.

I feel the front looks have been borrowed from the Nissan Versa available in the US, with the chrome lining at the top and bottom of the grill.
However Nissan Versa is not a tall boy design.
