hi guys,

okay so the dealer has given me a choice of two colours, silver and grey,
maintenance is not a problem, but i want to customise the car, and i feel in grey it might look a bit funny, and does the chrome not suit the silver?

thanks, and please help me choose which one will look better!

>Silver looks staid but looks more of a professional no-nonsense SUV
>Grey looks meaner- i prefer grey, its the best of both worlds.
check for more pics of grey here

I selected white. 2nd option would be Black. Nothing else. Saw a Fortuner in white and man it looks so damn cool.

im getting the delivery of the grey earlier too. But im still feeling the silver. I just booked it around 2 weeks back, but the delivery date is within this month. im thinking off front bumper, rear, bumper to give the car a more modern look, wider side steps and rest all minor detailing.
also, how much would a extra sun roof cost, and do you think there is enough place for it?

thanks!

Haven't seen any fortuner with skirts here in dubai either so not sure how they look, but IMO fortuner looks best in the current form just add the steps.
For sunroof not sure about the cost but you could check with your dealer if they do it or check with Webasto. Also make sure that adding the sunroof doesn't affect your warranty.

I was trailing a white Fortuner and it looks really good. As with any big vehicles the black also looks eaqually good.
BTW, looking at the pictures on post # 47, the old 'grill + head lamp design' looks much better then the current one IMO

Choice #1 = Black
Choice #2 = Black
Choice #3 = Uhhm ookkkaay Grey

Personally, even though black needs more maintenance, I think it is worth that extra bit of effort.

(OT: Previous generation Fortuner had a decent looking grill but then, the headlamps were normal Multi-reflector and not Projector-type)

Black - White - Grey - Depending on the kind of person you are. Black for the mean(machine i mean ones), White for the Clean (Rise and shine types) and Grey for those with shades of both.

Light Blue for those hit by the blues regularly and silver for those who wish to be invisible with a huge SUV..

I have Seen a white one with full dark sun films from close it looked great in white i guess it belonged to some politician with a special number and that party logo on number plate. Some times i wonder why politicians prefer white colour.

Even the one I saw belonged to a politician. It had 'Ex MLA' written on the number plate. I wonder how they manage to get the vehicle allotted so fast! I guess the party must struck a deal in a big way, and this seem to have contributed to the long waiting que.
