Indigo CS anniv edition

Carwale.com has announced the launch of Indigo CS anniversary edition with a host of new features. But it doesn't specify whether it's going to have the same TDI/DICOR engine or would also have the MJD 1.3 variant.

It also goes on to add that the all new Indigo vista ( Indiva ) will be launched only in the latter half of the next year.

Does any one have any specific knowledge on the CS anniversary edition ?

hope they are wrong and that Indiva comes in 2009 itself, Indigo CS would be continued as a platform I guess with discontinuation of the current larger sized Indigo/ marina / XXL when the Indiva comes.

Though unlikely CS with MJD may sell very well if done.

I'm not sure how many will agree but the indigo CS has the right proportions for a perfect coupe. or maybe, even in its 4 door version, if placed rightly with the right packaging, it could be a neat off-beat car like the zen carbon/steel became.
CS with MJD engine, nice 15" alloys, with a slightly redesigned sportier bumpers and sunroof. 7 L. isn't that a unique enough a car?

@acm :

Why shouldn't MJD in CS not sell ? Personally I did not buy the CS only because it didn't have the MJD and opted for the Vista Aura with the MJD.

I am sure there are many people waiting for a VFM sedan with MJD.

Nitin - I completely agree with you. I would have opted for the CS had it come with the MJD engine. The Dicor feels quite rough...

Recently someone from the TATA service group told me that the new DICOR engines from TATA are now fitted with parts from FIAT especially the turbo and it kicks in @ 950 rpm itself so there is hardly any turbo lag. Add to it the SIAM results that TATA DICOR is the most frugal engine fo the lot. Then why am I not smiling, simply because mine is an older DICOR and the turbo comes in only at about 2200 rpm.

wandernomad, I doubt that. Dicor is a delphi implementation, while the Fiat MJD is a bosch implementation. I dont think you can swap things about like that, and i find the bit about the turbo kicking in at 950 rpm hard to believe.

Your dicor kicks in only at 2200? thats strange, my turbo kicks in at <2000!

Maybe this is is an attempt to clear stock before the Vista Indigo is launched.

the seats and the console appear to be from the XL , and the pedals seem to be from the recent 'sporty' xeta. I hope they don't add those horrible stripes!

Yes there is news of new CS coming out this diwali with chromes here and there along with addition to chrome add in grille and interiors as well.
May be as like others said to clear up stock but a question that indigo CS is not coming out with quadrajet engine or is it?

Dicor Turbo kicks @1800 RPM and it has VGT to reduce the turbo lag.

Turbo maker has nothing to do with common rail system maker as the Dicor turbo is supplied by Honeywell and Common Rail by Delphi. When after market tuning are done by adding bigger turbo then swap is possible.

950 rpm? hard to believe, may be a twin turbo If it is possible to kick at 950 rpm, then it is killer (compact) Sedan
