As far as ive heard, the Cruze is coming with all the controls on the steering wheel as shown in the pics. Its also getting the side (curtain ) air bags, but that was from someone who is a huge Chevy dealer. I suppose he would know the details.

The Cruze he says is in a league of its own with the Captiva Crdi engine, which on its own is a thumper in the much heavier SUV.. They are going to also get both the manual and the auto versions releasing in in close time frame from each other, maybe even simultaneously.

What ever one might say, this time if Chevy gets its pricing right i.e. in the 13L bracket for this stunner of a vehicle, it might just be the car to bail chevy out of the doldrums, as the Captiva craze was short lived, especially since a more capable, powerful, larger and cheaper Fortuner chomped into its market share.

Hope Chevy gets it right this time as almost all its cars have suffered because of some nitwit whio decides atrocious pricing of its otherwise very capable cars.

I would go for a Cruze if in the right price bracket.

i work in gurgaon. my office is adjacent to GM's regional office in sector-32.

two days back i saw 2 guys test-driving a cruze. the car looks stunning in real life. it was showroom ready version, nothing was masked. by looking at it i thought maybe its already launched

it was a diesel, the engine sound was not much, but the turbo whistle was too loud. reminded me of scorpio's turbo whistle.

If you are so close to their office the cruze might be a common sight around there, how about posting a few pictures eh pb10gagan?
What colour was it?

Its nice to hear that we get the steering controls even civic don't have these control.

If cruze pirced at 13L bracket i am sure it will aleast win Best car of D segement 2010/ Even car of the Year 2010

GM are you hearing?

Or else they must be creating a new space for the Cruze, may be 10-12 lakhs. I think they are going to target the Altis, Civic space with that priceband.
oh man I can't imagine what happens when they price in 10-12 L and it will sell like hot cakes as Fortuner did.

Hello All,
While travelling to my native (coorg) 2 weeks back i saw a white car with badge on the front stickered from my rear view mirror. then that guy took left and overtook me. i was in 120.. and looking at the speed i think it was around 140 to 160... all the tapes where badges were hidden were coming out.. it was chevy cruz with GJ reg.. last number was 1012. side windows were not tinted and i could see families sitting with a kid. interiors were too good. but couldnt click any photos.. i think that guy was competing with a innova guy.. but cruz was way to fast. couldnt catch up for rest of the trip.

Cruze is a Diesel rocket. In terms of 0-100 Km/H dash, no other car below 20L can touch it.
If you're looking for sheer thrill from Diesel Engine, this is it.

Ex. Showroom price of Cruze (N. Delhi) will be around 11 something (Petrol) and 12 something (Diesel)
That's fantastic value for money. I don't see any other car manufacturer beating this package easily. GM seems to be lean and mean from here now with their MINI scheduled to launch in Auto Expo 2010.

A sales representative of the Chandigarh dealer told me on the phone today that they were expecting the launch in early October. He claimed that at least 70 persons were ready to book the Cruze even though the bookings were yet to open. He said that test drive would be possible in Chandigarh after a month of the launch and opening of bookings! He said people were willing to book the Cruze without test driving it. He said that the Cruze would have two variants with the higher-end costing a bit over Rs 13 lakh -- a difference of about 1.25 lakh over the lower variant. No automatic yet for at least six months.

I saw the car being reviewed on a TV car review show. The host said that this is absolutely the best car he has driven below 20 lakh rupees and said that the only competition will be with the new Laura. Even the push button start is a first in this segment.
