For that you will have to read the following threads in that order. Let me warn you, they are very long.

Haha! Actually, I used to literally live in the car. Driving out to places was just an excuse in those days to get behind the wheels. Thinking about it, it still IS.

Now that deserves a new thread "Quickest to claim the 1st Insurance" . No one will want to be in that thread though.

I got delivery of my Palio MJD on 23 Dec 2008. Did a trip of Kalimpong, Gangtok, Darjeeling and overshot the 1500 km 1st service deadline by more than 200 km when I was back in Guwahati on 31st midnight. The service center people were nice enough to record the odo reading as 1496 km, when I gave the car for 1st free service on 2nd January, so as not to void warranty.

That's surely no record but I guess not many would do the trip, driving in three different states (four, if you count Gorkha Autonomous Council), with just the temporary registration!

Bought (took delivery) Safari on Aug 8 2001
Took it from Vashi to Thane for registation on day one and then had accessories added at Chembur the same day - about 100kms.
Aug 9th drove down to Baroda - for my Marriage
Aug 12th drive the car for my own marriage (no driver) - am sure the first wife (car or lifepartner) was already being doubted by all present
Aug 13th drove back to mumbai

Kms read - 1000+ Had a crack on the glass and the car needed the first servicing but got It done only after 15 days of honeymooning in the Himachal covering about 5000 more kms.

So technically did not qualify for the fastest servicing but did cover a lot of kms in the first month.

Today still have the Safari at 150,000 + kms.
