Believe it or not, I saw one on-road in Cochin on Saturday. Red color. Don't know which variant it was (I was stopped at a signal and it passed in the opposite direction). Looks nice in a way, but quite small.

IMO, If Maruti makes 'Cross Alto' on the lines of cross golf/polo it would look similar to what PAL is offering

I saw a brand new RED Rio today, didn't know what make it was when I originally saw it as I couldn't see the maker's name nor the logo. I was in a cab going to the office and I just got a glimpse of it ( I saw the name Rio in the rear). I was certain that I'd get the information about it in T-BHP.

My first impression of looking into it was a compressed SUV/MUV (innova/Xylo). I am a new to this model and don't know much about it, however it did appeal to me for a moment.

Thanks,
Rajiv

Is Premier' RIO's sale on rise?

Suddenly in last couple of weeks I have noticed 8 RIOs in 4 different cities.
One was a conspicuous Red one bang at CST station, two were at Nasik 4 in Pune in different areas (meaning chances of seeing same car more than once quite less) and one in Karad near Kolhapur.

I also noted a new premier showroom on Pune Banglore highway at Karad sporting one RIO on display.

If this is what I have seen in very little time I have spent on these streets, I am inclined to believe that many more would be plying on other streets too.

I also found 3-4 premier pick ups around Candolim beach at Goa.

Is this a sign of premier getting established again no matter how slowly?

I am definitely not a fan of RIO nor do have my eyes set on her.

Rgds.

Re: Is Premier' RIO's sale on rise?

I have seen just one near IIT, Mumbai one afternoon. So I am not inclined to believe the Rio sales have caught up.

But then I have only seen three Micras so far, so who knows?

Re: Is Premier' RIO's sale on rise?

I spotted one yesterday at my place in white. Couldn't see which model it was.

Does the top-end come with alloy wheels? If yes, then it was low-end model.

It looks so different. Wish it was better packaged.

The only Rio's I have ever seen were at the Premier showroom in Goa, on the way from Mapusa to Panaji. Don't really believe that sales have really taken off.

Definitely not. The car plastics make tatas feel luxurious.

I would agree with most of you. Although the car has not been a huge hit. I see it selling in some smaller towns where a "new" car is a matter of prestige. You see, every T, D & H owns a Scorpio, Bolero and so on

The Premier dealership in Koramangala, Bangalore, seems to have shut down. The place is empty, floorspace is totally bare. Premier board is still there, though.

Seems like it. It's no longer featuring on the website. May be because Rio is a BS III vehicle?

Btw, just counted, they have 44 dealers PAN India
