Spending upwards of 5.5 lakhs for a chinese manufactured dated daihatsu with an engine as old as CTVs (no matter how much reworked it is) and being sold by a manufacturer PS-3 playing kids have never ever heard of? Unwise is an understatement. Your family may probably kill you for buying this thing.

In all probability, its the demo car that is up for sale. Heck, even a guy with an I.Q. lower than a cauliflower won't buy it.

PS- China is quite cross ever since those chinese handsets stopped functioning here, so now they have RIO to make up for the loss they encountered. But unlike those handsets this thing isn't cheap. It just "feels" cheap.

The Govt. should put in some kind of regulations preventing fly by night operators importing cheap chinese kits and taking unsuspecting customers (plenty of them out there) for a ride.
I have no idea how Premier managed this when MNCs never get an easy ride by ARAI during homologation of their cars.

Spotted a new car

Hi everybody,

Plz. refer to the photos below. Spotted this small SUV type car on the Durgapur Expressway near Asansol on 12th Dec. early morning. There were 2 cars doing good speed.Looked like a small SUV.The rear had an emblem named "Zotye" ABS.

Is this some chinese SUV getting tested or is this the new about to be launched small SUV from Premier Automobiles Ltd.

Shantanu!!!

edit : Mods plz. post this post to an appropriate thread if required.

That's the premier auto's Rio. Zoyte is the chinese brand from where they are getting the license.

When i saw the exterior pics, i thought "Ok, it doesn't look all that bad". That is, until the interior pics started rolling in.

The interior quality is bad, even by Indian manufacturer standards.

If i had 7 lakhs to spare and wanted a spacious vehicle, i'd go in for a 2nd hand Innova 2.5D and get an eftermarket ECU for it.

The Rio Exteriors are OK, the Interiors let it down. Plus it's a no speciallization vechicle, not an SUV, not safer than other cars, not really much more spacious, not much more cheaper, nor does it have better quality. So why buy it. No reason. Yep they won't sell.

Its glad to know that Premier Auto finally woke-up from a logn sleep and from past experiences I would hesitate to buy it. As Premier Auto is well known for not caring for its customers.

They can have stop any model any time and can have a fight with there partners and shut down production.

Even after that they do not provide any technical or service support to its loyal customers. For example we have the Pal Pegouts and very old Padmini, did they provide any support or atleast a web site to help them.

So i wont suggest Premier Cars to any one, but I still love Fiat cars as they have nothing to do with Premier Auto.

Dude every one deserves a 2nd chance, i agree their customer service sucks however i am sure they will look in to it and if they dont then i guess they do not have a right to trade.

Cheers
