Looking at the tail lights, its a VW model. I doubt that this car will be the fastest car. We have cars with V12 too available in the market. May be fastest below rs. 10 lakh, but not the fastest.

Pricing will be a key to success. I hope its not another " premium " and " Exciting " car. Hope it comes with a good diesel and petrol.

That's the Mk6 Golf 4dr.

Are we getting a Golf GTI? That would be awesome.

Could be the 2007 Volkswagen GTI and should be priced at 8,00,000 + taxes, etc.

The first pic show the latest one. So again, india gets a not-so-latest model (second pic which is the same as the one shown by the thread starter).

EDIT: Neotravellor, our posts got posted back to back so repeat pics. The car you have shown is the latest gen.

EDIT EDIT: or is it some drag race or new auto show on tv? Fastest car on the indian roads?

That looks like the VW Golf MK5. Great news, it seems like VW has latched onto India as their dumping grounds for their old models <img>.

Though I'm hopeful of a Golf running the Laura's 1.8 engine (stonker redefined ), the bold "Hustle coming soon" tagline makes it seem like some new car show. Perhaps?

Whats written above the car pic, on the frame, is it "Times CNN". Has this something to do with this:

Dream car and super bike test India's fastest road

EDIT: Or may be it could be a race..

guys guys hold your horses!!

its nothing to with VW or them launching a car, its a clever advert for some other program on TV!

they advert just uses a CAR and all logos have been removed from the car used in the advert to get attention from the public!

read "SURVIVAL OF THE FASTEST" on the rear windscreen of the car!

Or it could be an ad for the car NOT MEANT for launch in India.

In India - the ad would have read , survival of the Fe est.

It is not about a car but either about a new TV car show or a new auto mag or a new car helpline service.
