Although the engines may be same, the positioning/looks/feel of the 2 cars is very unique like chalk n cheese.
But at some point, Linea will eventually need to have unique engines too.

Linea will take care of upper-C segment
manza: upper-B and Lower-C segment (Dzire, ikon, Accent etc)

I hope manza is aggressively priced with just a 25-30k premium over dzire. Sould really set charts on fire.

Now I am getting very confused.

Are they discontinuing the current Indigo altogether, and replacing it with Manza. ?
Or are they going to launch Manza as Indigo Manza and will continue to sell Indigo CS ?

I hope Tata Marketing department have learnt the lesson from the Indica Vista and Sumo Grande's nomenclature blunder.

Our office firewal blocks the site saying "Potentially Damaging content".
Prophetic words. Probably damaging to the competition

Happened to call up concorde, Mallik & autofin enquiring about earliest date I can book & OTR for Manza & vista anniversary edition.
Mallik & Autofin promised to call back tommorow by 10.30 by when they hope to know the pricing details.
Concorde is denying any any such news.
Indica vista is not yet in showrooms in Hyderabad.

Thanks,
Vijay

The "normal" indigo is discontinued.

Tata is only producing Indigo CS at large numbers, Indigo XL 16v petrol with CNG, indigo XL Tdi basic version and indigo XL classic dicor only on order. Marina production has also stopped for private use, some leftover vehicles have 50,000 off (includes the indigo XL produced earlier.)

Fiat India is a 50:50 Joint venture between Tata and Fiat and both Linea and Manza are built at the same plant. Fiat contribution is mostly in technology. Tatas are good in manufacturing. So both [Tata and Fiat] will benefit by selling either one [Manza/Linea]. Did you notice the sales numbers reported by Tata Motors?, that includes the sales of Linea also.
Unlike Mahindra's [ Remember association with Ford, Renault], Tatas are good with partnerships.

Looks not quite proportionate?

The Manza (some name that!) does NOT look very proportionate from the front three-quarters view. Appears perhaps, to manage just slightly better than the D'zire or the old Indigo? So then what's it that Indian designers lack? First Indigo, then the Dzire and now the Manza!

If you remember the pics of XJ that were leaked just before the launch, even XJ looked odd from some angles, so this is not India specific issue. Or maybe photographers aren't very good.

The whole car from sideways looks like the last gen City before the facelift. Or is it inspired by that?
