I guess those headlamps look good on hatch Indica, but not sure about its acceptability in Sedan

I believe the bumper height is increased to comply with new EU standards in effect for model 2010 onwards to minimize injury to pedestrians. I assume Tata made this with export to Europe in mind and hence the head lamp is slightly higher than conventional cars currently sold in India.

Everybody complains about Dzire. What about Hyndai Verna? I think the verna looks equally bad from behind.
In my opinion, the car that is going to feel the heat the most is Mahindra Logan.

considering its main rival, Dzire. I think it looks pretty good. With the feature list, Fiat MJD and Tata Pricing. this manza is going to be a great car to buy. well done tata.

I do have to come clean and accept that the look is growing on me.

I hope Manza becomes a grand success which would lead TATA to expand this to a new platform rather than using the indica/vista platform to build sedans. That said, for this price point IMO TATA wants to over deliver in order to capture the market share since they don't have a winner in this segment (sedans).

But looking at this car and the features, it seems like it could go on to sell around 6000 per month. Hope suzuki is getting ready for Dzire v2

The Hyundai Verna looks great! The rear is well gelled with the rest of the car. It is not outright spectacular but is above average if not beautiful.
Anyways looks have always been subjective.

Is the 14th a soft launch or will bookings and delivery soon ensue? After 2 Indica's in the family over the past 8 years covering almost 2.5 Lakh kilometers, I am quite convinced with the brand and model's workhorse nature.

So a logical upgrade for our family this Diwali would be the Manza. So any word on delivery timelines?

I read somewhere that two engine options are available:
1. Quadrajet 90- Fiat 1.3 Diesel Engine developing 90PS and around 200Nm torque.
2. Safire 90 - Fiat 1.4 Petrol Engine devloping 90PS and around 116Nm Torque.

Also the bootspace may be around 460 litres. The best thing is the availablity of the features Airbag and ABS.

I would say watchout Swift Dzire!!!

Why would this not affect even Linea Sales? Same engine, features, more space and less price.

Target Market for Tata Manza

In my view Tata Manza is immedatlely targeting

1. Replacement for Indigo
2. Pospective customers of SX4, Swift D'zre, Forst Fiesta, Mahindra Logan
3. In terms of segments Taxi-Cabs, Govt vehicles etc

i do not think, it will eat into FIAT, Hyundai or Honda customers

I think the rear lights look more like the Logan.

The interiors are almost similar to the Vista except the central console being now moved.

Not sure how much competion this will give to the Dzire.

Also,am amazed Tata hasnt dropped Indigo from this car.
Another faulty strategy like the Vista?

The new Indigo is feature laden and with Airbags too (am surprises).
The pricing may be good as is done by Tata.
