Well, even the Range Rover uses the same Terrain Response System AFAIK?

I think with the equipment list this vehicle carries, it's way too priced high.
Let bmw X1 come out and then see the fight. Bmw would definetly carry more features than this car. But looks wise this one is better.
If people want something reliable that will last, then they are better off with the german vehicles. The freelander is nothing special and at 33lakh I would not even give it a second glance.

come on guys, LR2 has pretty decent pricing. givent that its a CBU.

at 33 odd lacs. you get this. according to website.

All Dynamic Technology Systems are standard on the Freelander 2
  1. Roll Stability Control
  2. Anti-Lock Braking System
  3. Emergency Brake Assist
  4. Electronic Brake Force Distribution
  5. Electronic Traction Control
  6. Cornering Brake Control
  7. Dynamic Stability Control
  8. Hill Descent Control
and the famous terrain response system. this is awesome

5-star rating in Euro NCAP Tests for adult occupant protection
  • Airbags standard on all models
    • Row One – Driver and passenger front
    • Row One – Driver and passenger side
    • Side and head curtain (1st, 2nd)
    Driver’s knee airbag
i would take 7 airbags and the safety systems. the 4X4 terrain responce as standard over stupid things like leather seats and CD changer. i mean who needs CD changers these days. lolz i prefer my walkman. or the ipod.

Nissan X-Trail (SLX MT) - £20539 (UK) - 23.18Lakhs (India)
Freelander 2 (S) - £21060 (UK) - 33.79Lakhs (India)
Looks like I'm going to have to eat my words on the price. If international comparos are anything to go by, and the fact that the XTrail is a CBU as well.

I still feel its pricey for the features & comfort it offers.
Feels like a vehicle that charges for the stuff but then doesnt match it up to pamper the buyer.

The LANDROVER brand though is the best part of the deal.

they compared the xtrail and the freelander 2. xtrail lost to it.

why do we keep forgeting this is a landrover. (baby) but still. it has all the awesome capabilities of it!

it think pricing is okay!! just on the bmw X3 putting panoramic roof and HID xenon lamps are options worth lacs. and the diesel is almost 50 lacs. isnt that expensive my friends. i think land rover as a brand is as premium as the BMW or Audi or mercedes when it comes to SUVs.

I think it is all about brand preception in India, the nissan has neither a great brand perception or pull out here compared to the Land Rover (even in the mini form). so pricing wise though over priced may still be perceived as priced well and do well.
