Looks great. But the rear is too fusion-ish. Lets see how Ford goes with the pricing and engine options.

Turns out that they have a (new) blog as well- http://drivingford.in

They've already got a post. Being a social media freak, I'm gonna look out for Ford Figo everywhere now- Twitter, Orkut etc. Will keep you guys posted.

Looks nice. Has the traditional Ford lines visible across the current generation in India.

Bold and simple. No excess curves.

Cabin being boxy should be spacious like the Fusion (tho' not as much!)

It's not just the tailgate: the whole thing looks like an upgraded Fusion. Looks better though.

I'm hearing that this car will be available in the showrooms only early next year. Is this just a pre-launch event? Can anyone confirm?

Somebody please tell me i'm wrong. Going by the looks, it definitely looks like a serious competitor in the hatchback segment. Ford India, please don't disappoint customers with long wait time.

I would be SUPER happy if it comes with the 1.6 duratec engine! And there should be a sports version too! Ford knows how to make it's cars fun, so we can expect some entertainment driving this one!

EDIT: does this also mean that Ford will let go off the current Fiesta and replace it with the Figo with a boot?

Yes, It will be available only early Next Year. The car looks amazing and we call it as FUSION mini anyway. Though ford has rights to name it as "Splash" , they chose Figo . Not sure why...

1.4TDCI engine in Figo will make this the best diesel hatchback. It would be peppy, fast, extremely frugal and usual fun to drive factors Ford cars are known for can make this - one exciting hatch. What do u guys think?

To start with the car does not look cheap in anyway and it has a class. Hope the interiors match the exteriors and ford has a hot hatch in their hands. It has a very nice balanced look not too tall or short and the size very right. They can go between 4-6.5 with 3-4 engine options and variants and sweep the competition off. What will be the mileage of a 1.4 TDCI on this car (20+??)

Looks like they are not fully ready yet as the pictures of interiors and the pricing. I think the PR effort is counter the launch of Polo and some purchasing decisions around Diwali! Nice move! Figo! Go!

WoW! Real nice surprise from Ford.

A good competitor to the next car in my list against the GP

Definitely one of the shortlisted choices for my next buy in the near future. Unless the Grande Punto gets a peppier engine, it sure might be the Figo.
