There must be something impressive about this logan as it carries 5 awards.
You bet, the marketing department got a serious budget ! Jokes apart, there are atleast 10 branded awards now....with each of them having each conceivable category (30 atleast) so that all their advertisers go home with atleast one prize.

I defer that if you closely observe these awards you can see how impressive it is, to know that the logan stands overall 2nd in JD Power APEAL in the compact to mid size sedan categories and 1st in the Quality in the compact to Premium mid size categories

Does this means other manufactures fail to pay the advertisee to get these awards?

Well, normally what happens is that when a new "PHOREN" car is launched in India, the initial version parts will be completely imported and that was the case for logan too. So the 30K price cut means M&M will manufacture things in india and thus reduce the prices.

LOL! Nope, I didnt target my comment toward JD which is certainly more respectable. The nonsense award include those created by the automotive media.

Found out that Logan has entered limca book of records for achieving 35 kpl during a long distance fuel economy run. 27 kpl is doable at a steady 80 kph.

“Many consumers are looking for a painless, trouble-free ownership experience, which, as we find in IQS, is certainly important. However, there is a large group of buyers who are most interested in things like comfort, style and performance. This group is often willing to put up with a few quality snags to get a vehicle they truly feel passionate about. For this group of consumers, there is more to an appealing vehicle than a lack of problems—even a lack of design problems.”

This is Chance Parker of JD Power speaking. I really dont see how the Logan won on this count. Previous APEAL winners in India have included the Safari when it was at the peak of its unreliability.

Comfort, perhaps but how can the Logan be a "Passionate", "Stylish" "Performer" ?

3.93 L would be the exshowroom for the base model(petrol)

still they have managed to bring the price below 4 lakh .even the swift petrol is available for 4 L +

Malayala Manorama- Kerala.

Also, saw a TV ad today saying 'As part of Hurrah celebrations, get fully loaded Logan petrol for 4.49L!'

No mention about the diesels though.

Logan Petrol - on a roll?

Guys,
Looks like Logan Petrol is on a roll. The 1.6GLS model(top end) is around 5.68 OTR in Bangalore. Mind you, the road tax in karnataka is very high - around 11% of the ex-show room price.

I think logan petrol is a steal now!

With the CS starting at 3.99 Logan again takes the hit.

Baleno has been discontinued long back. The production of the Esteem cars had been stopped a few months back, but would still contribute to some residual sales numbers. So I guess the Lions share in the 2939 number belongs to the SX4.

Moreover the Indigo CS will show an impact maybe next month onwards.

Lets wish the indegenious car all the best.
