It is a good car but at 8 Lac it is not worth buying. At that price range you can go in for an 1.6 Optra which is a far better car than fusion.

Definitely not worth the price.. Plus the Fuel Efficiency is very poor.. The "ad" says anything karega, but i doubt if this one is gonna survive one off-road journeys.. What is it about the ford-fusion that interests you??

There is a test report somewhere and a user group on yahoo.

Anyway - it is a great car to drive but the ownerhip experience is questionable

Well,
it is a great alternative to the NHC.
It is everything the NHC isn't i.e , fun to drive, fast, has cheap interiors, bad ride, better looks, worse FE, worse resale, awesome handling.
Basically, if you can overlook the ride, price, interior quality, it is one of the best drivers car and it is very practical too.

Here in Delhi I have been offered Fusion for 6 L (Base model non Plus). I need comment on Fusion cosidering this price. I think they have just started (in july) giving discount on Fusion.

Can I consider this as multi purpose vehicle which I can drive within city and highway as well?

They are offering a 3 year interest free loan on the Fusion in Mumbai. That along with free registration and insurance as well I think. And I'm sure you can get the dealer to through in some aftermarket goodies as well considering it's a really slow selling model.

My father-in-law was offered 5 year interest free loan on the base Fusion, so he was interested. Anyway, I talked him out of it. Fusion is too much money for too little.

Fusion

Ford Fusion:
Pros: A driver’s car.
Great 1.6L Engine.
Good “Driver Assist”( Good Road View, adjustable Comfy Seats, reachable Controls).
Delightful Steering characteristics.
Easily can accommodate five people.
Can easily make a bed of the back seats.
Chilled out A/C
Spacious Trunk.
Wide tires, alloys etc.
Anti lock breaking.

9 Kmpl with A/C in the City, drive however crazily if you want.

14/16 Kmpl on the highways with A/C.

Can just relax at 120KMPH on the highways.

A car which has been designed thoughtfully.

Cons: Costly by a lakh of Rupees.
I found no other Cons…

And I own one.

How about the interiors for somebody switching from Hyundai? In Karnataka, the Fusion+ with ABS costs nealy 8.5L on road. That's why I said no to my FIL.

I do not find many cars wit great interiors( to be honest)
I paid out 7.8L in Chennai. Now it costs about 7.0L in Chennai.
I do not know about hyndai cars..
I basically was looking for a particular vehicle and fusion+ came closer to it( a non 3-Box car is what i mean)

How expensive is it to maintain the Fusion ?
Hear stories that Ford A.S.S is pretty hard on the pocket ..

How would compare with the Petra ? I understand they belong to different categories .. but still ...

Flat out performance, Driveability, Ride, Handling, Durability, Space ...

Any pointers ??
