Going through the specifications it seems like the ZXi will be available as auto only. This is rubbish if true. Also ABS is not available as an option on the Vxi.
Has Maruti also now decided to slightly go the Hyundai way??? If you want a bigger petrol engine, no choice but to go for the auto.

This is your browser which is giving you warning to not to open this site.

Select the option which says, this is good to go (not exactly the same words) and you see the site.

No my friend; it is the other way. AT is available only in ZXi, while MT is available in VXi and Zxi. See the brochure for details

Well as everyone's already mentioned, its just a minor update. More power would have been welcome. Is the increase in cost of the VVT worth it just to add 3 HP more? Of course i dont know how different the driveability or mileage is so ill reserve my judgement for now.

However i do have one query. The ANHC comes with 175/65 R15 tyres(used to be R14 for the NHC) while the SX4 ZXI comes with 205/60 R16 tyres. Surely the mileage and ride quality both are suffering due to this?

"FOR THE MAN IN EVERY GENTLEMAN"

How lame is that? Come on Maruti, you could have done better.

There's a thread somewhere around which compares the spare part prices. Linea was supposed to be the cheapest of the lot and second was Verna if i remember right. Agree with you on the service center availability.

Have you tried the user threads feature? Search around and you will find a thread from me an year back where i TD'ed considered SX4 as a potential purchase. The GC is good i agree. Highways - not really -there are much better highway cars in the segment.

Check out the extreme video on the site.
thats a good use case. But most people looking at offloading will also look at diesel. This is why i said it would have had a great potential as a diesel one.

Is it only me or did the others also notice the brochure showing no front seat belts in the VXi version? I just hope it is a typo otherwise it will be a major embarassment for Maruti not providing seat belts for front passengers in one of their top line product which even the Tata Nano provides.

Is it true for the new SX4? That means there's not much hike in SX4 prices!

Yes these are new SX4 prices. Price of previous model ZXI in delhi used to be 7.75 laks OTR. So there seems to be a hike of 25k in OTR price

Not always.
MPFi Gypsy King, anyone ?
You dont always want a diesel if you are not clocking more than X miles / day. A petrol does just as good, if not better.

And there are not too many cars that fit the need of : a good city car + a good highway car + a doable badroader/offroader all into one. Thats pure SX4 territory.

Only the Fusion comes to mind, but thats a different story.

Edit:
@ compenn : Can you check and post the price of the Autobox version pl. Many would be interested to know that.

Someone please test drive the new SX4 and post the test drive opinion.

Should we wait for a few months to see the car perform on the road or just buy it because its a Maruti?

Good one
This is why Maruti sells as much as it does.

Please test drive one for yourself & see if it 'clicks'. At the end of the day you have to be happy with what you are getting for your 8L.

Apart from that, expect a couple of rattles and you should be set
