The logo on the boot looks more like a oval shape than a round shape , rest of the car looks polo.Is it to mislead ?

Nice catch!Though the rear looks a little bland, and comes with almost identical looking Aveo tail-lamps! A pic of the side profile will give a better idea of how proportionate the overall design is.

Definitely a much better job than any of the other unDZirable sedan siblings of hatchbacks.

The words butt-ugly come to mind! is this for real? why does it look like an old gen ford fiesta?? Looks like a Ford logo plonked on the rear, too, (with a depression for a round monogram for the actual brand)

In total contrast to the hatch, the Polo sedan actually looks a bit bland.

Good job by motoroids! Pretty stupid of VW to use Ford's logo!

At first, I thought they have got it wrong. But they have explained it quite well. See the commonalities below:

Even I thought the same. But after going through the article, it can be assured that its not Ford. In the 3rd pic posted by FZ-rider, check out the monogram up close, you will see the Ford like logo on top of an oval space. VW logs are oval! After reading that and scrutinizing the pic up close, I believe that it is the Polo sedan indeed! Nice cover up by VW, an even better spy analysis by the motoroid team!

Guys, do you think the tail light is original to the car? It doesn't gel well with the design.

Some points in addition to those pointed out by Motoroids :
1.The alloy wheel design is same that's found on india spec Polo.
2. The registration no. is MH-14 and ford's have TN registration, so it can't be ford!

In that case, VW engineers have taken lots of inspiration from Ford while designing the Polo sedan. The nurning (waist line), the rear chrome garnish, tail lamp design, everything resembles current Fiesta.

But yes, overall the rear looks taller than the Fiesta, and the rear headrest seen from behind seem different from Fiesta. Also the rear glass area seems shorter than Fiesta.

The tail lights have been severely disguised. If one looks closely, one can see the "kink" in the reverse lights at the bottom of the assembly. Looks like they have put tape or something to give it a sharp/pointy edges as is found in current Ford cars. Pretty sneeky!
