6-speed AT option only on the Petrol model. The numbers are really impressive in both the variants.

The VW Vento will be officially launched in Q4 of the year 2010 and the pricing will be announced closer to the official launch, though the pricing will be really competitive.

Can any one of you take screenshots of the video and post it here? Donno if that is technically possible though.

Can't wait to see the Vento climbimg up the wall !!

EDIT: Saw the pics now. Thx for sharing.

With these specs, looks like the pricing might bang inside ANHC territory.

It's a really good-looking car From the front as well as the rear.

I guess the price for the petrol variant will be close to the Honda City. Diesel variant will be even more expensive - but I guess it can hope to win some Civic/Cruze/Altis (diesel) customers as well.

Just 96mm more than Polo? That would be smaller than even DeZire, which is 4160mm. Polo is a sub 4m hatch.

I would think there would be no improvement in the rear seat space from Polo, unless VW pulled of some interior miracle.

6 speed AT is a very good move on 1.6 liter petrol engine.

Why are they waiting for the year end to launch it ? Waiting for Etios ?

Have they actually put up that car on the hotel building facade ? need to check out in the evening, wonder if it will remain till that time.

Shouldn't this be the wheelbase?

methinks that the 96 mm must be the increase in wheelbase, rather than the increase in overall length.

I strongly feel instead of 196mm, 96mm was spelt. With "just" 96mm, how can it look as big as a Fiesta. Infact it looks much longer, into the Altis territory.

Beautiful looking car in white. If it is priced below 10lacs in BLR, I would be disappointed for not having waited for this launch.
Maruti can learn a lesson or two on how to make a proportionate sedan from a hatch platform.
