A friend of mine spotted a RED Vento in Pune last weekend. He clicked a few pics which I am posting here.

Is the red in picture not a highline ? It seems to have 15 inch alloys which I guess would only be coming on the highline.

OIs it just your general wish or do you have indications that it will be priced absurdly

Also, I thought that 'Red' colour will not come in highline trim. But this one seems to have alloy wheels so I am assuming that it is the highline. Will the red coluor come in highline? I want it to!

The front looks good and back is ok. But they don't connect so well.

Heavier as in compared to what car? All reports suggest the Vento to be no more than 100kgs over the Polo hatch (which is 1040 kg). So 1140kg at the most. Is that not lighter than the ANHC?

It seems to be identical to the weight of the Ford Fusion with 6 more HP and 7 more Nm of torque at a lower RPM. That itself would be a revelation.

Surely the gearing would also be a factor. My contention is that the Vento will be a great allrounder, rapid pick up from standstill and a rock at expressway speeds given that it is supremely aerodynamic and would have the typical VW for the autobahn suspension.

Dont know if it is posted before.

AutoBild has 0-100 acceleration times for Vento
Petrol : 12.5s
Diesel :11.5s

It is also stated that the auto is a "normal " one, which I think means it is not DSG.

By any chance, Is it the same Engine AT combination that comes in the VW Beetle?

Nothing mentioned in detail about the transmission. I dont have the mag with me now, I read it few days back.
I think it is a 6 speed auto, if I remember correctly.
Anyone got the august issue of AutoBild??

It is indeed a 6 speed auto as per the mags. It is not a DSG either - that's confirmed as well (again all from the Mags)

This looks like a proper threat to the ANHC.

I am very eager to drive the petrol AT and MT to see how it stacks up with Honda.
