The Fiats CEO corner , does seem to attend mails , sent them a general mail about possible engine upgrades and better service and got this reply :

Anyone wants to report any service centers ?

But I got only this in response to my query/complaint:

Its a very good effort by Fiat but rather than this kind of events they should improve after sales service and brand image.

Sorry to drag the discussion a bit offtopic.

Which specific superior technology are you taking about?

My bad. Its their Multi-Air range of engines that is superior to the VTEC not the FIRE range.:Frustrati

In the Multi-Air range they have a Hydraulic VVT system that can continuously vary the height and timing of the valve opening. This means a superb low end torque as well as peaky high peak power.

Multi Air engines are supposed to be out in a few months as 900cc twin cylinder format in the Panda first.

That said the Fiat's FIRE VVT can pretty much vary both valve open timing and lift(bydraulic valve followers) at the same time Much like the VTEC and worst of all it was developed in 60's. With air flow variation of upto 37%. I believe the Linea 1.4 engine has such a system, nicknamed "StarJet" FIRE.

Just that the Multi-Air is far superior and has an air flow variation of over 70% and completely eliminates throttle valve.

Honda is far better perceived because they know better than any body else as to how to design and build engines.

I would really like to see the reliability of these hydraulic VVT engines by FIAT.

teambhp.com or team-bhp.com??

we are also involved in this drive ?

Is this a thread to discuss Fiat vs Honda??? Who is going from TeamBHP btw??

I was wondering the same, cos I happened to read the zigwheels report. No news on this impending drive from T-Bhp so far!?

Fiat: First provide parts to all dealers. waiting for parts for last 20 days after completing 15,000 km service. Only oil was available. The second FREE Service cost 7,000. i don't think it's free service from FIAT

Good to see FIAT is trying to make a bigger footprint in auto industry.

Earlier people use to say "You want to purchase FIAT???"
Now what they say "Ohhh FIAT!!!! this was changed after the LINEA"

But here TATA is spoiling the sport of FIAT.
