On The Road - Television Show

To all the bhp-ians out there...

On the Road is the first automobile show in television, in the South. It's airing on News9, a Bangalore-based english channel. The first episode goes on air on Saturday the 31st, at 7:30 pm. The initial few episodes were produced against many odds, the worst being the anchor having a hectic news schedule. So most shoots were wrapped up in a hurry, and a few nicks will be visible. With more planning and practice, it will be one swinging show! Pics of the production will come up every now and then. The first episode is on the Bentley Continental GT Speed, and an RD350 with a skeleton on top of it...

Do watch it, and your feedback will be very valuable. On the content, and general comments. Thanks!

Hmm News9 is interesting but a bit unprofessional. But will reserve judgement for this show until after I've seen a few episodes.

Saw the advt today morning. The advt looked like a Bentley advertisement rather than a program advt.

I reckon this also has something to do with the first-time-hectic-schedule part.

But then, lets see how things shape up. Hopefully they are much better than the rest.

All the best to the team, JayR.

Will confirm about the you-tube part. And apart from working on the auto show, the crew for On the Road also had many other office assignments. Time was of the essence. Thereby the mention, about initial mistakes. The team's a small crew of only 3 ppl (producer, anchor and camera-person). With a single camera, the three of us will strive to bring about a kick-*** show, on regional television, once the difficulties are ironed out. Hoping for the best.

So, JayR, what is your role amongst the three?

Gotcha!

All the best JayR

I see TV9 muted while in the gym. The other day they were talking about imported CKD car kits avalalbe in Bangalore. Tell us more, it would be interesting to see how they would be registered.

Hey, so whats your role in this show? Now i'll make sure to catch a few episodes - otherwise I usually avoid watching most indian TV car shows. Do we get to see you on the telly?

Being a bhp-ian I hope you've taken inspiration from the detailed unbiased reviews we have online.

All the best

I'm the producer of the show, and will remain behind the screen. Trying to pass on all I learnt, from bhp and other means, into my work. And News9 had covered Rider Mania earlier this year, when the bikes headed to Ooty.

On another note, when we were shooting with the Audi A8L recently, the driver approached the flyover curve of Hosur/nice road at 160, and took the turn at a 100!!! My heart was in my mouth for a good 5 min. He then said 'that's the magic of Quattro'!

And thanks for the wishes!

Saw the ad a few minutes back on news9. Looks interesting. Ad showed some bikes, a Bentley, an Audi. Will watch the show for sure.

Best of luck JayR.
