isn't it dangerous? for impact from back quite likely on our signals.
No I dont' think even the VXi had the rear head-rest. All the cars have an integrated rear head rest which is just an inch or twohigh and is absolutely useless. Infact to use them as headrest, one would need to slip as much as possible in front and take up a strange laid back posture in the back seat. Then only will you find that there is a head rest

But personally I feel very distracted with head-rests on the rear seats since they obstruct the rear vision.

typeO yaar. typeO.

No. No specific reason. The locality in your snaps looked a bit familiar. In fact the only place in Cal that I have ever stayed is Salt Lake. Our H.O. is out there.

Correction teh VXi had rear head rests. We removed them coz

1) It obstructs the rear view from the internal RVM
2) rarely does anyone sits behind as only my mom & dad use the car :-)

Somehow it seems that there are lots of Software guys here and in Kolkata, Salt Lake is the place where all SW companies are located. My office is also in Salt Lake Sector V.

One thing I noticed. The gas pedal has very minimal depth. In fact it seems to be even less than that of 800. You press it and within an inch or two it touches the bottom. Is this normal, or has the company purposefully slackened it for the "runin period"? Any advise.

I have purchased this car a week back and had just filled it up to its brim once (35 liters). Till today it has run 470 kms with the fuel gauge still an inch over the red mark. I have used the A/C almost 70% of the time and driven it in the congested Kolkatan roads. No highway runs till date. Does'nt the figures raise suspicion considering that this is a new car. Can there be an odo error?
Does anybody have any idea regarding these two pehnomenon? I am little perplexed.

Hi Guys,

Alto is a very nice car. It is aerodynamic. My bro got alto lxi and the avereage of the car is awesome. It give like 20 - 22 without ac in city and 25 on highway. Thouhg interiors are not as good but breaking is bettre than zen. Where as i got zex vxi and its average is not more than 17 at any cost.

Bye bye

I think the head rests are not a comfort feature, but a safety feature.
They are head "restraints", meant to prevent whiplash injury in the event of a crash. You should always keep them in place.
