re: Spotted : Nissan MPV (Nissan Evalia / NV200)

Guys....saw this car today on Mysore - Bangalore highway. The guy stopped the car on highway in a dark place and gave me exactly 10 secs to take the photo of interiors, but my camera was really bad to take the photo in the dark ( mobile was GT i9003 Samsung ), some how managed to take some photos while on move.

The interiors looked very neat with orange light in dashboard. i was not able to see middle and backside due to bad light in the car. the driver said it will be release in next couple of months.

re: Nissan @ Auto Expo 2012 (Including the Nissan Evalia / NV200)

I saw a camouflaged vehicle in Calicut a few weeks back. It's of the same colour as the one in W.A.G.7's photographs.

That is the Nissan NV 200 aka Evalia, I assume the launch will happen this year along with its cousin AL Stile

Stile will be a cheaper version of this and will be launched much later then Evalia. Stile might not be a people mover or atleast it will have couple of versions which will be cargo mover. I got this info from an AL guy.

The Ertiga Effect.

Some websites are reporting that the Evalia will be launched next week. Thats a great move to eat into the long waiting line of Ertiga bookings.

I hope that they price it right below the Ertiga and force the Chevy enjoy also to tow the line. This will be great news for Indian auto industry and will also put pressure on the Ecosport, duster and the mini Xylo.

I would be happy if they price it atleast on par with the Ertiga and not like the Innova.

The car/van is bigger than the Ertiga in terms of length and height and the diesel engines are still being imported as per the salesperson.

And Nissan have not priced the Micra and Sunny a lot cheaper than the equivalent Maruti offering.

for e.g. the XE plus Micra is only about 10-15k cheaper than the Swift LXi as per listed prices in Chennai.

One major drawback could be the interiors which don't take away the impression of a van atleast looking at the interior images available on the web.

The backside is a proper "dabba". The rest of it is okay. Couldnt they do something for the rear? They could consult their Chennai neighbours, Hyundai for some slashes and cuts here and there.

re: Spotted : Nissan MPV (Nissan Evalia / NV200)

Like majority here, I too like the front and don't have much problem with the profile. Buttttt... the rear is very drab. If Nissan wants its customers to see this as a personal transport, they better have a very well appointed interiors. Otherwise this might end up being strictly for taxi/institutional users.

re: Spotted : Nissan MPV (Nissan Evalia / NV200)

This vehicle is a light commercial vehicle internationally, why they are selling the same as passenger vehicle in India ? I hope they dont end up with "luxury" and "premium" tags for this vehicle. The diesel engine is the same as renault-nissan K9K which debuted in India with Logan. Would be close to Ertiga then IMO. Lets see where Nissan places the car in market.

The rear is like a commercial van, like, lets say, Winger. Also I am not sure about stability with all that height. Even Enjoy seems to be on similar lines, hope GM atleast gets their Enjoy correctly on pricing front.

Bad looks at rear
Sliding rear doors give it a cheap van look
Workhorse engine, but the vehicle is too big for that
width = 1.69m
height = 1.86m
Reverse camera is available on some variants in UK. Hope they provide it in India also.

This car is the new New York TAXI.

.

Well spotted, actually Winger is an older model of the Evalia, I think it is a model which is close to 10-15 years old and Tata's bought the rights to use the design from Renault/Nissan.

re: Spotted : Nissan MPV (Nissan Evalia / NV200)

sorry to put this an odd line in the forum of the Nissan:- since some mentioned as Wingers & tatas...I tell you I have used winger widely for my tours as I have my own holiday package company...this vehicle with due respect to its promoters some how fails to satisfy the guest in all aspects, I have to use it with no choice as a tempo traveller sometimes Works out too much for the guests pocket for 8 to 9 people...while winger just saves a few hundreds but is definitely not a satisfying option.
