Re: Tata Nano V2!?

I don't see much of a difference between these differently seen/observed Nanos'.
Chrome strip at the base of a Tail-gate is hardly of any significance & there's hardly a need of it on a budget car also, especially when the car already looks good from the rear, except for the visible exhaust muffler, off course which is now covered by Butterfly-wings like Plastic flaps.
However the Grille/Air-slot at the top of the rear bumper does makes a l'll sense 7 convincing enough to generate the trust of a Nano seeker over the fire incidents.

The flaps below the rear bumper are not present in current variant.
It is the Air deflector i guess.

Maybe we can expect something at the Auto expo? Frankly, the time is ripe for Tata to play its diesel card. The whole people's car trick has not worked. Why not do a Europa on the Indian Nano and price it accordingly. It might just become a cult car yet.

Re: Tata Nano V2!?

Our Scoop Master, Sid has some interesting information. Check it out on the other thread on this.

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...ng-soon-7.html

Also got to read this on IAB

Quote:
Tata Motors without any hue and cry has upgraded the Nano series by adding Orange, Metallic White, Lime Green, Emerald Green and Silver shades according to these photographs sent in by IAB fan Nitish Sharma. Mirrors on both sides of the car is noticeable on first glance. Notice the mirrors are a touch bigger and reportedly fold with more friction. However they are still not adjustable from inside the cabin.

Nitish notes that plastic quality and fabric quality levels have gone up and the sound of the shutting door is a thump from the thud that it was before.
The top-end LX model receives beige interiors and the CX model shifts to using fabric seats after customers complained that the vinyl covers absorb too much heat. Full wheel covers have been redesigned but the top-hinged rear windshield spotted earlier this year on a mule is nowhere to be seen.

We’re also told that the mileage of the Nano may have jumped to 25kmpl after a revision was made to the electronics and a visit was made to ARAI. This claim is yet to be verified but we know it has been a constant endeavor at Tata Motors to maximize mileage of its product lines and thus far diesel variants of the Indica eV2 and the Indigo e-CS boast of an unbeatable fuel efficiency of 25kmpl.
The difference i spot on the outside is the upgraded ORVM. The ORVM on the left side and the full wheel caps. Tata is trying hard to sell the ugly car. They should have made it look cute in the first place.
