I went to Auto Mall yesterday. I have to say that it was nothing great, but not disappointing either.

The vintage cars, especially the beetles and the superbikes were the only saving grace.

I was hoping to buy some auto accessories, but there were no stalls.

Saw the Indigo Manza in the flesh for the first time and was really impressed with the space and comfort, especially in the rear seat.

I spotted a yellow palio with Got BHP and Love Cars Live Cars stickers. IIRC, this car belongs to Khan_Sultan.

Did someone happen to spot my red i10 with Team-BHP sticker on the rear bumper ?

I went to Auto Mall today...

Except for the vintage car collection from Advaith stable and the bugs, it was an ABSOLUTE WASTE of time and money.

My Suggestion: Stay Away from this expo!

Wasn't the Bikers' stunt show good?? i felt it was superb. The super bikes shown were also pretty good enough, especially the display of "Indian" was surprising.

if you compare it to Delhi Auto Expo then it was not worth otherwise it was pretty good IMO

Very pathetic , look no fence or barrier .Imagine a stunt guy loosing control , some one in the crowd will get hit/die badly .Most of the stunters, expect helmet , are not wearing anything else at all .

it was not safe.

The event was scheduled to start at 3pm. Fence/ barricade was there, fifteen away from the track. People just started rushing near the track and stood in front of the barricade, close to the track. The organizers took 45 mins to control the crowd and they literally begged the crowd to stand behind the barricade. But our Bengaluru crowd just did not listen to him in spite of the warnings from the organizers that the show will be cancelled. Our people stood like dumb statues near the track. The stunt show went on for some time and stopped.

Took some pics of the cars on display..
Was very disappointed and upset with the fact that this is what we Bangalorens are left with these days, after all the drags and events in the past..
Liked the buggies and the Vintage cars though.. and of course the beetles.

Had been there yesterday.
Nothing great about this Auto Expo.
Only saving grace was the Vintage section + Suzuki bikes.

100%. Was passing by that place on Saturday, so decided to make a quick stop there. To say that it is a waste of time would be an understatement. It took more time for me to walk from car parking to the gate than the time it took to see all that was there inside.

The worst part was that this time there was no household/furniture exhibition nearby where even the stalls selling those Roti Makers are more interesting than what was at this HORRIBLE so called auto show.

The auto show was a complete disappointment, other than the beetles and other vintage cars, there was nothing much to see. I Had to stand in the ticket queue for almost 20 -30 minutes and after looking at the cars inside, I felt it wasn't worth the wait.

The bike stunts part was even worse. The show was supposed to start at 6 PM but the bikers didn't show up till 6:15. By that time, the crowd had broken the barricade and got inside the performance area. There was nobody to stop the crowd from getting inside. The cops were watching the fun without even bothering to stop the crowds. The show had to be canceled as they could not perform at all as people were standing right on the road.

By looking at all this foolishness, I went ahead to talk to the cop who instead of doing his duty, threatened to arrest me. LOL !

Anyways, I never had much expectation from this auto show as the previous one was a total disaster, there were better cars in the parking lot than the show itself.

Auto Mall 2010

Seems like the event is back. The last time there was nothing much except the beetles and a few vintage cars. Inspite of that i could have some fun as had taken my kid who enjoyed himself on the bikes and sitting in the BMW's.
Here is the link to the event this year, though not much information is given yet
( maybe a chance to have a BHP meet there with a few bangaloreans!)

Hey guys, we all know that an Auto show would probably be a "Safe Excuse" to have a small Tbhp meet.

Please keep me posted in case you guys have planned something. I WILL BE THERE!!
