Hey thanks for the news. So 4th jan it is. Good to know there are two bhpians.
Its not deep verification atall. Its simple your a friend of the founders you are in. The Z4 was showcased as they did not have owners giving their cars for the show and they had to fill the space. This car belongs to another friend of theirs. See it on the road at night.

The date is changed to the 31st of Jan now. Technically if you go to see its from the same house and two Bhpians otherwise. I presume their would be two more Bhpians present if they are members or have been invited. If a certain car has been permitted theirs deffinately would.

Damn! I wonder how I managed to give this thread a miss!

Absolutely brilliant coverage Dippo! And everyone else who had taken snaps! Superb stuff! The Jaguar XK-R looks stunning in black with beige interiors and those quad exhaust pipes! The Gallardo LP 560-4 looks like it has made it straight from Chennai!

And about the Porsche, that happens to be a very nice Porsche 997 I type 911 Carrera S with Porsche's optional 'Aero Kit' slapped on it. It's not a Carrera with a GT2 body kit, it's not a Carrera 4S with a GT2 body kit and it's definitely not a GT2! In fact, the Aero Kit has nothing to do with the GT2. The parts have been borrowed from the 997 I GT3! I don't see Porsche Ceramic Composite brakes on it either. Havong said that, it does look stunning kitted out and in yellow! Tasty!

Cosworth looks promising as well! 6 Lakhs is a bit too steep but that shouldn't shake off enthusiasts with greens.

Could someone throw more light on the information of that Cossie engine? What cars are it's best applications?

Was watching one of the TV shows, I Think it was the Autocar show on UTV where they covered this performance show. They had a talk with the Mahindra customization guy who said the Bolero customisation starts from Rs. 40000 and goes upto 2.5 Lakhs. Does anyone have details of this.

ranc the details are mentioned further up in the thread, plus there is a thread on Mahindra customization. Plus if you look up the thread or google mahindra has a website for it as well. You need to contact on the numbers given to get the pricing.

The customizations are mostly for new vehicles NOT for older ones, and must be specified while ordering.

There were K&N and Cosworth performance parts stalls.

The guys at Lambo started firing up the engine of the baby lambo when I was there (sunday afternoon). I could see quite a few enthusiastic people crowding around it, but many were not too interested.

The modified bolero's took me by surprise, they looked absolutely WOW! The DC Innova looked super too, but I wonder about safety. I don't remember seeing any seatbelts in those luscious seats

The show kind of looked like a scaled down version of a regular auto show. One thing that will add to the spectacle is to have the drag racing scheduled with the performance show at a nearby location. Then it'll stand up to its name as a performance show

Autocar India 2009 pics

Even I went on my own spree of being the shutterbug at the Autocar India 2009. Here are some beauties that I captured through my lens. The best part I liked in the show were the antics of our very own off-roading king Mahindra Scorpio at the massive ramp that they had constructed.

Maybe they want to project it as a feminine car.

Is it just me? Or are the maximum number of people (relative to other cars) checking out the Rio
