Japanese biking giant Suzuki along with their local offerings are showcasing the mighty Hayabusa and the 1800cc cruiser the Intruder . Good eye candy for bike enthusiasts.

Well thats it. The show feels a lot smaller than last year with some of the other big players staying away. BMW, Rolls Royce, Porsche, Audi etc are sorely missed. There is nothing very exclusive except if you want to see the JCB but thats not going to be there on the weekend. So should you spend 100 rupees on the ACI show? If you really want to, do it for the Jaguar XKR. Thats probably the only car worth seeing out there.

Rightly said, and that DC nano looks hideous, way too hideous to me. I mean spending 80,000 to make the nano a "track pack" car? Am I kidding? On the other hand, that octavia RS looks simply dashing in that shade of yellow!

I would rather take this:

The show had some really good cars but participation was clearly lesser than last time. As usual, the show stopper was the Gallardo LP560 and the cars fro the Supercar Club of India. One of my favorites was hot yellow Porsche 911 GT2. Other than that, i found the Jag XK-R to be very beautiful. Skoda Laura RS was another star at the show. Looked brilliant in yellow color!
Here are some pictures form my side.

Totally the Jag XKR was the star. Next possibly the LP560, then the Laura RS and then the Fiat 500.The buzz that normally characterises auto shows in India (ref. the Delhi Auto Show) was missing.

Unfortunately I got into two telecons lasting an hour each and so by the time I knew it, it was past 4 pm and time to leave. Saw the 4x4s go up the ramp and then left, to a very hot car out in the sweltering sun.

P.S. : Was expecting something like the new Ford Focus RS and /or the VW Golf GTi ( don't know why). Something which we Indians can aspire to and possibly own ove rthe next few years when we get more affluent and our motoring tastes evolve!

OMG The Skoda VRS does look stunning. Wonder why skoda hasn't launched that car yet in India. If they do I'm pretty sure many will forgive Skoda's poor @$$ factor and go for it. Well I know I will..

plus All the pix were good. Thanks mate.

Great pics Dippy bhai, by the way where is Sam bhai's stall?
This event looks boring. May be I should spend my Rs.80/- on something else.
It looks more like a showroom, its nothing compared to last year's event.

It's funny that they should have a distinguishing name, seeing how it is the only auto show in Mumbai.

@ragingbull: I don't think the yellow 911 is a GT2. I remember somebody mentioning elsewhere on the forum that it's a Carrera. Plus, I think the non-PCCB brakes are a giveaway.

@Dippy: You haven't posted pics of the Innova's exterior. Apart from the front grille is it stock or is it really that bad?!

@Dippy: Nice pics, but seems a bit of a non-show to me. LP, Carrera etc make more sense to me when I can hear their engine revs . This kind of reminds me of the show when it had first started a few years ago. But I might still go there on Sunday

Apparently the Jag XJ is going to be launched in India at the Delhi Auto Expo in Jan, thats what the Jaguar guys told me and boy am I waiting for that

@Jayabusa: No exterior mods on the DC Innova except alloys and skirts. Its the interiors what this car is all about and they are fab.
