Year end discounts on a TATA car

Did any one buy a TATA car or to be precise an Indica Vista recently before the price hike, i.e. Dec'09?
I am not very satisfied with the discount I got.

Seems that Fiat has extended the year end discount to the new year. Saw an ad in the newspaper mentioning 35k discount comprising of extended warranty, insurance, etc.

What's with FIAT? There's another thread that they had increased the prices and here we see that the offers on the Punto or extended.

Here's my post on the Fiesta.

Yes! prices have increased but Fiat is offering free Insurance+Extended Warranty+RSA which varies from 20k to 30k I guess, still a good deal.
But make sure you check the month of Manufacturing, I think this is for 2009 cars. And on 2010 cars its only extended warranty which is free and half insurance amount I think, not sure thou. Better to check with dealers.

That's a nice info. This forum truely amazes me with the timely and valuable info it provides
I mean, there's so much to decipher from a simple ad in the newspaper!

Everyone was saying prices are going to be raised for all cars in January,
but what I see is that actually prices of some cars have gone down.
A cool discount of 17.5K on Ritz Petrol is available now in Delhi per newspaper ad which was not there in December.
I am guessing the whole price rise prediction a Hoax to get good sales.

Is there any connection between the Manufacturing quality and this price reduction ?
Do they use any cheaper/thinner sheet metal etc.. to cater to this discount ?

I believe ford and Chevy did raise their prices .

In Mumbai:
Hyundai reduced their discounts on i10 to just free insurance + corporate benefit if applicable ( 2010 cars )
For 2009 i10 Automatic sports , Dec 2009 manufacture which i finalised last week ( expecting delivery this week ) , i got a Rs 30K, cash discount + free Mats , Mudflaps , sun film. ( Jaybharat Hyundai )

Hyundai motor plaza is offering 40K discount still on some other Manual sports variants but they are an older stock that do not have the immobiliser function . The one i bought at 30k discount has this feature though.

dhrishikesh - Is honda offering free insurance for City still ? Any idea about that .

Sorry for lateeee reply klassics45.
This quote was from Shiva Automobiles @ Trichy and unfortunately I did not go ahead with the booking due to my Dad. He insisted to wait until Jan to get the new car . Will be making the booking either this Friday or next Monday @ Trichy after the Test drive by Wednesday.
Still in a dilemma to choose the model - 4WD VLX-HE MT or 2WD VLX-HE MT as I will be using the vechicle only for 3 months in a year during my vacations to India.

Discounts for Honda City in Hyderabad?

I am looking for ANHC AT and finding that lack of dealers in Hyderabad (only Sundaram and Pride) makes the environment very uncompetitive when it comes to discounts. The dealers claim that this is a very good situation (lesser number of dealers) because the pricing is very transparent and you can be assured that no one gets the same car for a lower price. I find that quite amusing because this could be an anti-trust violation.

Also, the discounts that are available in other cities are not offered in Hyderabad.

Can anyone share a recent experience of the discounts being offered on Honda City in Hyderabad?
